However not all, in fact, very few, go around killing other humans, either one at a time, or in mass, in the context of our discussion.
If it is just a human nature problem, how do other humans help others that go beyond the norm of how most people behave within the context of our nature?
Where does good, evil, right, and wrong play into this in finding the root? Also where does accountability and justice fit into this.
Thanks
Mike Huckabee said today that the problem was Americans haven't been thinking and praying enough about this issue. The definition of insanity is repeating the same behavior over and over and expecting a different result.
Thoughts and prayers won't cut it. The problem is not that the people of the United States are not religious enough. If there were a correlation between a belief in Christ and a low homicide rate, this county would do far better than Japan, where one percent of the population is Christian, but they don't have mass shootings in Japan. It isn't because they pray. It's because they don't have guns.
The President says that hatred pulls the trigger, but there has to be an effing trigger for the hatred to pull! Yes, we have hatred, but guns are dangerous hatred multipliers. They turn hatred into mass murder. Other countries have mental health problems, teenagers who play video games constantly, alienation and drug abuse, but they don't have the gun violence the United States has, because it is more difficult to get a gun.
I'm a Tour Guide. Today I went by San Francisco's City Hall and had explain, once again that the flags were at half-staff because of mass shootings. I wanted to scream that the reason we have mass shootings is the NRA and gun manufacturers own the Republican Party, and all we are ever told to do is think and pray.
I've thought and prayed enough. Ban assault weapons. Ban high capacity magazines. Mandatory background checks.
WWJD? What would Jesus do? Would he think and pray about the problem, then buy a gun and take money from the NRA?
