Re: I got my plans I don't know about you
They're on the way possibly already here!
They've got 5 days to adjust to the altitude and be ready to rock on Saturday night!
Last night Metlife Stadium in Jersey. Jersey is sending them to me. How appropriate!
They do two numbers acoustic on the catwalk B stage mid-concert:
Let it Bleed and Dead Flowers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQBdQmnQv30
Here's one they haven't done on stage for 30 years. Not my favorite but deserves recognition:
Harlem Shuffle
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaGO4S8MkSk
Just for fun, here's the opening song (JJF) where Jagger blasts in and shoves Ronnie Wood out of the way. *
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaGO4S8MkSk
*Jagger has done that physical contact thing with Ronnie Wood many times over the years. He doesn't do it to Keith. Probably because it would be considered spousal abuse and Keith would lay him out in like 5 seconds.

Re: I got my plans I don't know about you
So Shades gave various details when he want to see Perfume. I'll do some of that here even though I don't know if anyone is dropping into this thread any more.
So. The Stones never publish a setlist in advance. They only do so afterwards. Why? A couple of reasons, every concert they deliver is somewhat different and they don't want the audience to know what to expect. Some numbers are mainstays of their concerts these days, but they drop in different songs, and also change the order.
And there is this.
Prior to the concerts on this tour, the audience gets to vote for a song out of 4 choices. I'll be able to vote soon right here:
https://rollingstones.com/
I would **love** for Mercy and Beast to be on that list. They've done Mercy once (first time since 1969) and have not done Beast even once. I'd take Good Times (Let the good times roll--Sam Cooke cover--the thread title here is a quote from the lyrics) as a third choice.
A girl can dream. <3
The truth is that I'll be happy whatever they do and if Keith can ride that opening groove to Honky Tonk just a little longer as he sometimes does, my life will be complete.
(And then he pulls his pick out of his mouth to play the rest in between the groove with the pick back in his mouth. I'm not a fan or anything. I hardly pay attention to Keith Richards at all. I lie through my teeth.)
More details next post.

Re: I got my plans I don't know about you
Day of stuff.
Transportation is our POV. Stadium is about 1.5 hours from home. We plan to go up, check into our hotel, catch dinner and then head over to Mile High Stadium via UBER both ways.
Gates probably open at 5:30 or 6 p.m. Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Opening act. Can't recall who they are, don't care about them. The Stones come on stage around 9:00 p.m.
They perform for just over 2 hours. In the old days, they performed for about an hour. Now they do double that in concert.
As I mentioned above, they're probably already here. Pretty sure their jet is at Denver International Airport as I write this. Getting to Denver early is critical. High altitude adjustment/old guys. They travel with a doctor, Jagger's also got a cardiologist with him. I am reasonably certain they are here already on account of the altitude.
The stage will probably be here in two days total. They truck it and the equipment in, in 50+ semis.
Then they set up, rehearse and take the stage Saturday!
I do not plan to take many pictures or stream on Facebook. I don't see a reason to put pics here because you can see the concerts on youtube. Fans start uploading during and of course, after the concert.
Transportation: Check.
Hotel: Check
Stadium bags: Check
Rain ponchos: Check
Binoculars: Check
Charlie: Check
Ronnie: Check
Jagger: Check
Keith: Check
Jersey in Heaven: Check.
:-)

Last night. Metlife Stadium in Jersey.
They're enjoying themselves way too much! Keith Richards unleashed. (My hero). Everyone in the band dancing a bit except for Charlie Watts. Watch near the end for Jagger to cue Keith, then Keith cues the band to wind it up. Keith often directs the band. He starts the riff, Charlie Watts follows, then he cues Jagger to start singing.
This is just awesome for a Stones lover. 0:13 the face Keith makes>> He's about to take it into the stratosphere. It's his high without the smack.
Brown Sugar

4 days!

*They don't sing all of the original lyrics to Sugar any more. Back in the day, I don't think anyone paid attention to how racist the lyrics were.

Hey Jersey Girl, just letting you know I've been following. I won't say I hope you have a good time tomorrow because of course you will!

Oh thank you, honor! Here I thought I was rowing my little Stones thread boat alone all this time.
We're all ready to go. Can NOT wait to leave out tomorrow and get to Denver. This is a girl's only trip and one that we're all so looking forward to. Not only do we get a respite from the details of our lives, but we get to do it with the Greatest Rock and Roll Band on Earth!
I am so HAPPY!
