A young girl cries on the floor of a gym that neighbors and strangers have opened up to children whose parents were taken in the Mississippi ICE raid
The raid, by the way, was conducted after workers won a lawsuit against the employer who happily employed them for years knowing their status. This was just straight out retribution.
Are you ok with this?
America is not well. This is morally wrong. And I think what we're sowing will not be good.

And how about Ajax? I'm sure he is thrilled with it!
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

If this were happening in my state I would be right on the floor comforting her and dare anyone to stop me. How goddamn dare this administration do this to children!

Because the so-called news is designed to manipulate for money. That's why.
Well I keep hearing from others like Mikwut that they operate according to outrage and division. What could be more outrageous than this?
I think the media feels obligated to keep reporting every time President says something because that's the tradition, but unlike past President' the guy just never shuts up.
Feels like a Democrat could easily stake out a position to appeal to xenophobic voters who are winnable on economic grounds by promising to bring employers of undocumented workers to heel. Part of what is so frustrating about those raids is that those benefiting the most from skirting the law are hurt the least.
The majority of voters almost certainly would support, 1) an easier, more streamlined naturalization process for those seeking a better life in America, 2) enforcement priorities against undocumented immigrants aimed at dangerous criminals, and 3) business owners being targeted for knowingly hiring black market labor.

Going out and doing some research on what is happening in the world costs money. It is much less expensive to sit at a table in front of a camera and prattle away about Trump, Trump Trump Trump. etc.

It's a serviceable compromise.
EAllusion, I live in a rural , a very red portion of a blue state, which has some crops like orchards that use a lot of temporary or seasonal labor. The work cannot wait so people hire most anybody who can present some paper without being overly careful of the veracity of said papers. There are numerous undocumented aliens working in this very red part of the state. I doubt very much that the orchard owners and all the people economically dependent upon that farm work would be particularly happy with being arrested for "accidentally" hiring some illegals amongst the crew.
I could note that the illegals are being treated like everybody else and pay the same taxes as everybody else.

I don't favor this in a vacuum. I favor it as a matter of coalition building.

Why would subbie post this picture in this thread? The Elian Gonzales case was a controversial and divisive issue during the Clinton administration, but I don't believe it involved ICE detaining a 9-year old US citizen for 30 hours. How is that picture relevant to the subject of this thread?
