American democracy is dead. Gerrymandering and voter purges will keep them in. Don't bother to vote. The 1% rule.

What did you think of Alan D (I kept my underpants on) arguments?

I think he has shown himself to be as dishonest and corrupt as Trump was being accused of being. What he was getting paid for defending Trump and being in the limelight overrode everything else in his mind, including truth, justice and defending democracy and the U.S. Constitution.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Re: Impeachment hearings
I can't help wondering how many of the Senators who voted against calling for witness testimony and more documents did so not because they thought Trump deserved acquittal, but because they accepted that there was already more than enough evidence to convict him. Will we yet see that a majority of Senators vote for conviction, but short of the required 2/3 majority?
I devoutly hope that every single Senator who votes for acquittal who is up for election in 2020 loses--regardless of party affiliation!

Anyway.
Whatever.

LOL or that Nadler and Shummer defended Bill Clinton to the end, a friend of both Epstein and Harvey Weinstein, having cigar sex in the white house with a intern...do you really want to go that route.
There is no shame in hypocrisy with any of these folks... Dershowitz was a god for the left when he agreed with them, and the devil with the right...we both know that has switched, and he defended OJ.

So, you’re ostensibly ok with Trump employing an absolute degenerate, who defended a child rapist and ephebophile? Good to know your Christian values are in tact.

How many "jurors" in the impeachment case were running against the president this year and and has been saying he is guilty for years, and even publicly before the "trial" is over.
How many senators have been saying they would want only witnesses they choose, and not allow witnesses the President chooses?
How about the left giving all documents on the accuser that started this...we all know who the whistle blowers is, I want hear shift under oath say he does not know who "he" is...
Schiff: We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower. We would like to, but I’m sure the whistleblower has concerns that he has not been advised, as the law requires, by the inspector general or the director of national intelligence, just as to how he is to communicate with Congress. And so the risk for the whistleblower is retaliation. Will the whistleblower be protected under the statute if the offices that are supposed to come to his assistance and provide the mechanism are unwilling to do so? But yes, we would love to talk directly with the whistleblower.
I wonder how he knows the wistle blower is a he, if Shiff or nobody else knows who "he" is?
This is a political circus, design for the clones, who cannot see through the lefts fight for control of the white house. There is no such thing as a fair judicial trial here, it is a majority biased political trial, with the majority making all the rules. The right has the senate and the white house, the left the house, and the left blew their case.
But rest assured, Trump will say something else and they will jump on it and it will start all over again...and the left will be the party of impeachment while Trump continues to get stuff done.

Re: Impeachment hearings
LOL...that didn't take long.
What do you think about those that defend Bill Clinton now, in light of Epstein and Harvey?
I am deplored about this whole process...and have been very consistent about the state of our nation and the choices we have for our leaders, and how they are all liars and hypocrites from one degree to another. Unfortanently we have to pick our poison.
I bet if we went through the scores of attorneys on both sides we see much of the same. Letter probably defended Clinton, who was flying around with Epstein doing who knows what?
My point is doc, look in the mirror before you say others are ugly.
It is ironic how you have retreated to the porch with the rest of the puppies and lap dogs, you use to beable to lay out an objective argument...

The entire Trump-Epstein relationship is somehow off of Markk's radar. Funny, that.
