After agreeing to take the weekend off, Coach P asked me the following after insinuating that I was merely poisoning the well:
But you can wait until at least Monday before you attempt to explain why asking questions of people whom you have declared liars would be worthwhile.
I think Coach P is misconstruing what is going on. Dr. Midgley claims his meeting with Dr. Colvin's husband was arranged by the Area Authority and/or Stake President in New Zealand and I asked Dr. Midgley to tell me why that would have happened. The only way that makes sense to me is if the Area Authority and/or Stake President in New Zealand knew of his dust-up with Dr. Colvin and wanted there to be some sort of burying the hatchet or if someone other than Dr. Midgley sent word that Dr. Midgley wanted to meet and then arranged the meeting. That's when Coach P interceded.
Anyway, Coach P, it isn't poisoning the well if I am trying to get an accused to explain himself more fully. Poisoning the well would be if we were talking about another subject altogether, like LGT, and I responded to Dr. Midgley by implying he lied about who set up the meeting with Dr. Colvin's husband.
So, Dr. Midgley, why would the Area Authority and/or the Stake President, that are over Dr. Colvin's husband's ward, want to have you meet Dr. Colvin's husband and why would the Area Authority call you to see how the meeting went? Surely it wasn't at random. Did you have someone contact them prior to your arriving in Christchurch in order to have them arrange the meeting? Was it because they wanted something settled between the two of you? Or is this simply an invented story to cover your boorish behavior?
