Are you asking that Biden seek more funding for STD research? Or SETI?
Here is a list of the things that I care about.

1. Too much military spending.
2. Science.
3. Medical research.
4. UBI
5. Automation
6. A.I.
7. SETI
8. NASA
9. Suspended animation.
10. If Biden promises to reverse aging (like he promised to cure cancer) I will support him without questioning him on anything. I want to live more than 100 years.

When you finally get a regular therapist, 10 should be high on your list of things to discuss.

There are about 600,000 (ages 20-24) more young men than young women in the US. I just want the numbers to be about the same.

Or are you misreading Res Ipsa? What the hell did you read?

Oh, neat, DT. You can cherry pick a couple of sentences from newspaper articles and an advocacy piece from an peace promoting publication and conclude that everyone who supported the war was an idiot.

Let's see how well you have informed yourself on this topic. Give us a couple of paragraphs that summarize why Biden voted for the 2002 AUMF.
I don't know, but he knew that a lot of innocent people would die.

I was just replying to Morley's stupid comment. Those are not my top ten issues.
I don't know what STI refers to. I was wondering. I leaned towards you likely intending to type SETI given what you've shared.

Here's a thought for you, DT. In your discussions elsewhere on the board you've discussed the need for humanity to leave Earth due to resource scarcity. Most people who have argued against it have pointed out that it is significantly easier to try and solve our problems here than it would be to leave Earth and successfully colonize another planet in our solar system.

Things on Earth would have to get pretty bad for us to really invest in heading out into the solar system to find a new home. So bad, we'd probably be pretty intent on surviving at all costs. We won't show up on Mars at that point and worry about causing the extinction of Martian microbe that would prevent us from re-establishing a toehold in the universe.

Now get ride of all your star trek and start wars fantasies about space travel and come to terms with what it takes to travel from star system to star system. Our nearest neighbor is four light-years away. A group or probe using our current tech isn't making that trip faster than 80,000 Earth years. An alien race that is able to travel interstellar distances is doing so at a percentage of light speed, and they are doing so at incredible risk and expense.

They aren't looking for a new friend group. There is no rational explanation for interstellar travel given physics that we share other than necessity for survival. So any alien life we encounter represents an existential threat. Spending funds looking for them, or even worse trying to make them aware of us, is money better spent advancing our own knowledge.

Sexually transmitted disease and I was talking about what can Biden do to help singles.

You do make good points, but there is a good chance that an alien probe is somewhere in the solar system and finding it would give us a new science. An alien probe probably wouldn't be a threat to humanity. Earth has many moons, perhaps one of them is a probe.

Many Evangelical religions believe humans are the only intelligence in the universe, so detecting an ET signal would disprove those ideas. It would be nice to know that there are other beings better than us out-there. Detecting a very advance civilization will inspire humanity.

Good point, but there is no evidence that microbes have feelings. There are a lot of planet out-there with a lot of resources that don't have any intelligent life. So advance extraterrestrials would go to planets (or solar systems) that are not inhabited by intelligent life.

DT has a 10 point bullet plan for the government to help him get laid with someone he finds attractive.
It's funny 'cause it's true.
