As much as I think Jeff Bezos could do so much more for this country, I have to fully endorse this mission. Ninety year old William Shatner, a.k.a. Captain James Kirk, first real trip into space. Live long and prosper, Captain.

HahahahahaπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Jeff Bezos employees 1.3 million people and some how you think he needs to do "more" !! How many people do you employ ding dong?? Maybe YOU should do more. Maybe you should stop naming the trees in your yard and do more by employing an unemployed person. For fxxx sake I'll never understand the mind of a progressive.

Honestly!! Saying that a man that employs 1.3 million people needs to do more is the most ignorant statement I've read on this forum. Congratulations Snooki!!

Again! How many people do you employ?

I’m pretty sure that those folks help make some money for Bezos, too. It goes both ways.

Anyhow, this has a good pitch: : D

I can certainly relate to this sentiment, but on the other hand, humanity has greatly benefitted from the space program in terms of inventions. At least he's putting his money to use one something that has potential to help everyone.

If you pay taxes, you're paying for him to employ people.

Nothing stopping you from feeding hungry children. Doesn't take that much money. May I suggest going to wal Mart, buying a crap ton of good then go to a poor neighborhood and start handing out more food. You ever thought about doing that?

Oh, by the way, if you're one of those people who believe we should be paying more in taxes, feel free to pay as much as you want, no one is stopping you.

Yup. How can it be legal for employers to pay a full-time employee so little money that they need Federal aid to live?

The picture is even more funky than that.

Amazon didn’t pay any federal income tax in 2017 or 2018. Zero income tax on about $20 Billion in profits. Meanwhile they rely heavily on public infrastructure that the rest of us are paying for.

In 2007, and 2011, Bezos managed to not pay a penny in federal income taxes.

But, yes, let’s all worship at his feet because he is able to have other people increase his wealth disproportionately through their under-compensated labor. Blessed be his name.

If anyone of us don't like it, we are supposed to blame his employees. Not the system that makes it possible. Not the model that necessitates it. It's the fault of the people doing the labor. (Did I mention, blessed be Bezos' name?)
