Is his name Rittenhouse or Rasmussen? I've seen him referred to here multiple times as Rasmussen. Is that his name?
I suspect that Shades changed "K+R" as an abbreviation to Kyle Rasmussen given the threads about him in the other forums. If you have the language filter on it will display as whatever the filter has been set to. The auto-correct function successfully removed all confusion around another acronym/initailism.
My KR shorthand refs didn't change.

Let's try this...K.R.

Thanks to Jersey for the further information. I just don’t see this guy getting convicted. Is he an asshole? Yes. Did he do something really stupid? Yes. Was he breaking the law? Yes. Did he commit murder? Maybe in moral terms he did if he went looking for an excuse to shoot rioters. I suspect on those grounds he is a murderer. But what matters and must matter is the law and what can be proven, not what I justifiably suspect to be his moral culpability.

You're very welcome. I am about to trial watch right now here. Recall that he has six charges against him and all I know is that no trial is ever really the slam dunk that you think it will or should be.

You guys here is Scott Reisch today. I watch him during high profile cases for his legal content. He's not everyone's cup of tea. He's all facts and no entertainment. He is definitely my cup of tea and I find him to be a reliable resource. Ignore the sponsored commercial at the beginning. Rittenhouse commentary looks to be about 14 minutes and change. Going to watch it now myself.

Before I go...it looks like the defense rested today. They'll be back on Monday for closing. If you want to catch up on the trial itself, you have the weekend. :-)

ETA: PLEASE listen to the Reisch video I just posted above. He's going over the jury instructions and law. You will understand that the why's ....why he went there, why he open carried an AR....don't matter. NONE of that matters.

I’m watching the video, and I’m at the 11:08 timestamp. Dude just read the statutes for self-defense in Wisconsin. Ritters is gonna walk because he meets the bar, clearly, for self-defense in Wisconsin.

Basically the defense is paying big bucks for a super genius who reads judges and jurors like a dime store novel. <- I don’t know what that means; but seriously, they got themselves an expert who helps them select a favorable jury, runs mock trials, and is cool as the other side of the pillow.

Did you find his commentary helpful? Watch it further than the 14 minute mark, he adds additional information.

That’s right. He’s not on trial for the ‘why’ questions, only the question of whether or not his claim of shooting in self defense is deemed reasonable.

Others may still have some why questions, though. And I can’t see it as helpful or reasonable for him to escape all possible consequences. But that might be handled by civil lawsuits later.

Somebody (or two) needs to be not-so-gently touched with a cattle prod for this -
When Kenosha County prosecutor Thomas Binger cross-examined murder suspect Kyle Rittenhouse yesterday, he wanted to show Rittenhouse video on an iPad and use a touchscreen feature that phone and tablet owners around the world use every day: pinch-to-zoom.

Judge Bruce Schroeder's ruling? You shall not pinch.

Schroeder prevented Binger from pinching and zooming after Rittenhouse's defense attorney Mark Richards claimed that when a user zooms in on a video, "Apple's iPad programming creat[es] what it thinks is there, not what necessarily is there." Richards provided no evidence for this claim and admitted that he doesn't understand how the pinch-to-zoom feature works, but the judge decided the burden was on the prosecution to prove that zooming in doesn't add new images into the video.

When Binger proceeded with his cross-examination, he used a Windows PC connected to a TV instead of an iPad to display drone footage from August 25, 2020, the night of the fatal shootings in Wisconsin. While the TV screen seemed to provide an acceptable alternative to Binger's preferred method of zooming in on an iPad, Rittenhouse testified that he couldn't tell what was happening in the video in response to some of the prosecutor's questions.

So you think traumatized folks are outwardly emotional?
Speaking from experience, I think a genuinely traumatized person probably wouldn't be embracing the celebrity glory and presenting himself as a political martyr the second he's released from Jail. We only see him crying when he realizes there is a chance he could be going to prison. He was clearly emotional though, when he was serenaded with the Proud Boys anthem at a bar. During the police interrogation he frequently cursed and never once asked if the people he shot were dead or alive, which seems odd to me.

In my view, what he did before and after this incident matters, or at least it should matter. But it doesn't, and the judge won't allow it. The judge should recuse himself, if that is even possible. I don't think anyone is saying Kyle is going to be convicted, but it would be nice if there were some kind of repercussion for his actions given the fact that they were stupid, illegal and resulted in multiple deaths. I fear the result of this trial is only going to embolden more like-minded gun fanatics to follow in his footsteps every time a black man is murdered by cops and the community protests. As it is, one must wonder if the prosecution is purposefully trying to create a mistrial. It seems like everyone , even in the court room, is on Kyle's side here. I feel for the victims' family members who were there realizing this kid is going to become a millionaire soon just because he killed their loved ones. He'll probably run for office.
KENOSHA, Wis. -- Kyle Rittenhouse, the 18-year old Antioch teen accused of killing two people in the protests that followed the shooting of Jacob Blake In Kenosha, is under new restrictions.

Kenosha County prosecutors requested changes to the conditions of Rittenhouse's bond after they said he was seen drinking beer in a bar with his mother.

Prosecutors submitted several photos to the judge, including pictures in which Rittenhouse is flashing the "okay" sign, which has been adopted by many white supremacist groups.

Under the new bond conditions, Rittenhouse cannot drink alcohol, go to bars or associate with white supremacist groups.
