Well of course, I would have declared him not guilty because I am not entirely convinced he is guilty. However, it doesn't mean he wasn't guilty. I am sure the bandwagon effect is a big problem during jury deliberations.

I agree. As could jumpkick guy have assumed the same when Rittenhouse aimed the AR at him. As could anyone around Rittenhouse when seeing him wheeling around with an AR in his hand. This is the problem.
It isn’t his responsibility. But, it’s an option.I think any other reasonable person would come to the same conclusion. It's pretty clear that Kyle's use of his firearm is well justified under Wisconsin self defense law. It isn't the responsibility of Kyle to 'play fair' and engage Rosenbaum in fisticuffs.
It’s also not his responsibility to have assumed, for a second time after already having shot someone under dubious rationale, that his only option in difficult situations is to shoot to kill anyone who gets close enough.

Anyone else surprised Atlantic “portapotty” Mike is a total pussy? No? Me, neither.
He has the chance to put a beta male down, and instead of manning up and showing his fellow tough guy buddies on the forum how Conservatives are real men who show Libs what’s up when they “F” around, he posts emojis instead.
So. This now makes three Conservative posters on this forum or the last version of it, who talked mad crap, but when given the opportunity to take one of us Liberal pussies down a notch or two, showed their true colors. That’s:
Wll Schryver
Texas “Rusty” Mormon
Atlantic Mike (and his pussy sock puppets).

Re: Rittenhouse Trial: Calling Res Ipsa
I don't think it's reasonable to assume someone running down the street open carrying a rifle is an active shooter. Especially considering they didn't actually witness Kyle shoot anyone, they were going off of what the crowd was saying. Even more so that Kyle wasn't strafing the crowd with his rifle or issuing verbal threats such as "I'm going to shoot you." What was reasonable was Kyle assuming that jump kick man, Huber, and Grosskreutz were going to cause him great bodily harm or death considering they were kicking him, hitting him with a skateboard, and aiming a gun at him.canpakes wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 7:45 pmI agree. I see. Fluffy ‘alpha male’ needs to tote an AR around to protect himself from the supposed ‘beta males’ with skateboards and plastic bags.Tinfoilhat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 7:26 pmWith that said, it was perfectly legal for him to take a firearm to a progressive riot so he could protect himself.

Re: Rittenhouse Trial: Calling Res Ipsa
That's obvious, but it's a bad analogy. How about strutting through a bad neighborhood with a 120k rolex? The rolex provoked the attacked, he's still the victim.I think Shades wants to point out that Some is blaming the victim. For Shades, Rittenhouse was a victim.
An AR-15 can substitute for the rolex in some scenarios, but there are plenty of scenarios where it can't. In addition to the possibility that K is attacked in spite of the AR-15, to steal the AR-15 or the statement it makes angers the attacker, there is also the possibility that K is attacked because he poses a threat to the lives of people around him. That's never the case with a miniskirt or a rolex.

The bandwagon effect can happen in a courtroom as well. All you need is a charismatic juror.
