So it is your honest opinion that if they had been able to disarm Kyle, there would have been no further action taken towards him? He would have been able to get up and walk away?doubtingthomas wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 11:46 pmOkay. I watched it. If you watch closely Huber didn't hit him in the head with a skateboard, and it is clear Huber tried to disarm him, not kill him. There is no reason to believe Huber was trying to kill or seriously hurt Rittenhouse. Huber was clearly a victim.Kukulkan wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 10:39 pmI suggest you watch this video. https://youtu.be/VpTW2AJE9MQ at minute 19:48 we see jump kick man kick Kyle and immediately after Huber run up and simultaneously hit Kyle in the head with his skateboard and reach for his gun.
https://abc7ny.com/kyle-rittenhouse-ken ... e/6393801/According to court records, Huber had a skateboard in his right hand and used it to "make contact" with Rittenhouse's left shoulder as they struggled for control of the gun.
Rittenhouse didn't shoot the 39 year old who kicked him in the head. So I am not sure why that is relevant. So yes Rittenhouse defended himself from being disarmed.
The most reasonable assumption is that Huber was trying to disarm him.Kukulkan wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 10:39 pmLet's say you are arguing with someone. Words are exchanged. That person suddenly starts running at you and as you try to run away they continue to pursue you. What's the most reasonable assumption as to why they are pursuing you? To give you a hug? Handshake? Kiss?

Re: Rittenhouse Trial: Calling Res Ipsa
I think it is interesting that you imagine KR making any kind of rational decisions after he shot and killed Rosenbaum. At that point, he was going to shoot at anyone who tried to mess with him. He was too jacked on adrenalin and he was not trained to think or deescalate a situation. What he might have done differently according to our armchair analysis is charming but really has little to do with what was actually likely to happen with the set of factors that were at play in the situation as it unfolded.

No, they would have tried to detain him. It is common sense. You think they were trying to kill him or send him to the hospital?

I don't think you watched the video. The audible calls to “Cranium that boy!” suggest otherwise.doubtingthomas wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 11:54 pmNo, they would have tried to detain him. It is common sense. You think they were trying to kill him or send him to the hospital?

For the record, regarding KR retreating and being pursued:
https://www.wisconsinrightnow.com/2021/ ... ing/?amp=1
https://www.wisconsinrightnow.com/2021/ ... ing/?amp=1
- DocTestimony during the trial described Rosenbaum as belligerent, issuing threats to Rittenhouse, and was agitated throughout the night, as well as being involved in an arson fire.
The complaint says that Rosenbaum did “initially try to engage the defendant. (Richie) McGinnis (an eyewitness) stated that as the defendant was walking Rosenbaum was trying to get closer to the defendant. When Rosenbaum advanced, the defendant did a ‘juke’ move and started running,” according to the complaint. “McGinnis said that the unarmed guy (Rosenbaum) was trying to get the defendant’s gun. McGinnis demonstrated by extending both of his hands in a quick grabbing motion and did that as a visual on how Rosenbaum tried to reach for the defendant’s gun…McGinnis said that he definitely made a motion that he was trying to grab the barrel of the gun. McGinnis stated that the defendant pulled it away and then raised it.”

Who said that? Huber? Rosenbaum? And what does “Cranium that boy!” mean? Would you expect many people to know what that means? I still need evidence showing that Huber and Rosenbaum were trying to kill or seriously hurt Rittenhouse.

Again, I don't think you watched the video. These basic facts of the trial make perfect contextual sense if you have watched the video and understand the string of events. Rosenbaum has already been shot at this point. To 'cranium' someone is a colloquial term used by younger generations to bash someone over the head. Think of it as the same as saying, "Deck that kid!" or "Sock him!". There were no shouts of, "Apprehend him!" or "Detain him". The mob that had begun to chase him made their intentions known very clearly by not only what they were saying, but by what they did as well, Huber, Grosskreutz, and jump kick man included.doubtingthomas wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 12:04 amWho said that? Now that is relevant. What threats did Rosenbaum make?Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 11:59 pmTestimony during the trial described Rosenbaum as belligerent, issuing threats to Rittenhouse, and was agitated throughout the night, as well as being involved in an arson fire.
There is still no evidence Huber was trying to kill or seriously hurt Rittenhouse.

Something? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else? Something else?
St. Rosenbaum was helping widows, especially the needy widows, get to church on Sunday to take the sacrament. When he runs fast and he is offering to help, he is a Fast Offering and I know that this is true.
Lol. I am amused that I task you so. : D
