He took part in preventing both a car dealership and a gas station from being burned to the ground, didn't he? If so, doesn't that count as things being made better?canpakes wrote:Agreed. Nothing was made better that night after Rittenhouse decided to play militia boy.

Re: Rittenhouse Trial: Calling Res Ipsa
OK. You’ve got my answer for that point in time.Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 8:30 pmYou can speak to any other point in the timeline. I'm simply asking you about THOSE particular points in the timeline.canpakes wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 2:37 pmOf course. I’m only allowed to speak to the exact split second that someone would have tried to grab his weapon that he was sort of holding after he decided to separate from friends, shoot someone else, then jog down the street, then as he couldn’t stay upright and found himself was on the ground. No one is allowed to speak to any other point in the timeline.
I don’t think that there would be anything polite about it. Not even law enforcement is polite when disarming you. Who would expect that? So, the mob shouting "Cranium him!" and "Get him!" (or perhaps it was "kill him?") inspires full confidence in you that their motives were pure and they would've calmly disarmed you and politely escorted you to where the police were located?Same answer. Sit on arse, place AR on ground. Hands up. All in full view of the police line a hundred yards down the street.
But, yes - I don’t believe that they would have killed him. Wasn’t Grosskreutz behind him with a firearm yet managed to not try to pump Rittenhouse full of lead?
He ran away from a fellow that he had just shot. In no way was he running from ‘a riot’.No, I wouldn't. Neither did Kyle Rittenhouse. He ran away from a riot. It wasn't his fault the rioters caught up to him.Marcus wrote:Bottom line, the thing to do is to NOT pick up an assault rifle and walk down the middle of the street toward a riot. Come on, seriously? Would you ever do that? SERIOUSLY?

Here’s a better video with commentary:canpakes wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 8:34 pmLooks to me like he has it up and pointing at someone behind him with Jump Kick Man still running. Jump Kick Man takes two more steps, at which point Rittenhouse completes turning the AR towards Jump Kick Man, with Jump Kick Man beginning his launch at that point.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 7:53 pmAre you sure about that?

If Rittenhouse had time to assess and switch targets, Jump Kick Man may also have had time to change up his response.

My takeaway is that KR saw Jump Kick Man about a step or two out which caused KR to swing his weapon toward Jump Kick Man just as Jump Kick Man is launching his jump kick at KR’s head. Just prior, we see Huber having taken a massive swing at KR’s head from behind, so it makes sense that as KR falls to the ground after having been hit from behind he takes a defensive posture to figure out the next threat. He warns off one guy who backs off, notable that KR didn’t shoot the guy because the guy didn’t attack, and this segues into Jump Kick Man’s attack. KR only fired after Jump Kick Man’s kick lands.

Running away from a mob = "roaming the streets?"

What would anyone else here do differently other than not go there to start with? Seriously, what would ANY other person do in the situation if they were equipped with a weapon?
Anyway he's going to be interviewed by our favorite person TC tonight on FOX.

He was seen on multiple videos trotting around with his AR in hand, not in his BP sling.

Re: Rittenhouse Trial: Calling Res Ipsa
Since this is now page 114
I would like to restate that I do not think Rittenhouse should have gone to Kenosha. I think his 17 year old ass had no business being there. His lie about being an EMT was disgusting. He could have just said "First Aid" and I'da been okay with that.
But he DID go there. And he WAS attacked. And he DIDN'T attack anyone who wasn't attacking him first, throwing hands, skate board, drawing down on him, trying to disarm him while HE was being attacked (Oh look I'm going all Faqs now), he had reason to believe that JR was going to kill him because the guy was off the charts loose cannon daring people to shoot him, walking down the street swinging a chain, when he threw that bag at KR I absolutely believe that KR thought the chain was inside and not only THAT but he heard SHOTS fired from behind while JR was in ballistic hot pursuit of him further increasing the fact that his life was in danger so he shot the guy.
It was self defense in all cases. There's no question about it. NONE.

No time like the present for those in the media stands to grift off of the incident and inflame the war of words further.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 8:59 pmAnyway he's going to be interviewed by our favorite person TC tonight on FOX.
Making Tucker one of the first post-trial interviews says something right there.
