That isn't what the evidence suggests, even from this example from over 4 years ago. From the article you cited, "In a staff meeting Monday afternoon, investigative unit members were told that the retraction did not mean the facts of the story were necessarily wrong. Rather, it meant that "the story wasn't solid enough to publish as-is," one of the people briefed on the investigation said."
So CNN fired some people for prematurely publishing something, not because it wasn't true, but because it didn't go through the CNN vetting protocols. CNN executives found out about it and got pissed, which in and of itself tells you CNN cares about holding to a journalistic standard. FOX on the other hand just makes crap up daily and there is no protocol other than "say Democrats are communists and praise anything Republican."
There were no "lies about Trump" coming from CNN. You probably can't name a single "lie" CNN spread about Trump, and your previous reference to him calling veterans losers isn't a lie, it is supported by multiple sources that span over a long period of time.
And instead of quoting the actual source, you rely on another notoriously Right Wing rag to explain it in a hyper partisan manner because that makes you feel good. In reality the Washington Post made corrections to this story for the same reasons CNN did, and it has nothing to do with "finding out they're all lies." That's just a stupid assumption from someone who is so dependent on fake news that he hates the fact that legit news outlets hold to actual standards. Again, FOX wouldn't retract anything it published that was fake, such as their repeated claims that COVID is just like the Flu.
Hell just today we learn that Mark Meadows received texts during the Jan 6th insurrection from numerous FOX News personalities begging him to get Trump to call off the attacks. These texts prove beyond all reasonable doubt that FOX News hosts truly believed Trump supporters were attacking the capitol, but then the very next day they go on air and blame ANTIFA and Democrats. - https://thehill.com/homenews/house/5856 ... jan-6-riot
