I do believe you understand my motive, somewhat. It's not the apologists that I target. They are poison in a well that can hardly be redeemed. They are few in number and the doomed ones are like sons of perdition. But there are members of record who aren't totally immersed in apologetic theories and therefore will be open to Delmarva. The First Presidency offers nothing to the members but allows the Church to be divided among themselves and finger point.
Then there are over 7 billion people in the world. They will VOTE for Delmarva when they weigh the evidence in a presentation that makes sense rather than a circus act performed by Mormon apologists acting like asses, cureloms, and cumoms.

My point is that your Delmarva geography theory is a ‘limited geography theory’, if you catch my drift. It won’t travel or go very far.
But it makes for good ‘board fodder’ for those here that already believe the Book of Mormon to be fictional.
For reference sake, I include an old map that provides a window in viewing the land of pre-America. It's plausible this very representation may have influenced Joseph's views and ideas of his "land of promise", which would ultimately become America. Young Joseph expressed keen interest in the ancient origins of the native inhabitants of the continent so its reasonable to think he'd consult maps to aid him in understanding geography and how it may relate to internal aspects of the story he wanted to tell. Note how Sea West (Chesapeake Bay) leads right up to the Susquehanna River where Hagoth could sail "into the land northward". Notice how the path of land north of the narrow neck leads ever northward to Cumorah!

Paul, I have really enjoyed this thread. The maps you and Doc have provided do show how Joe the master storyteller could have used them to tell his story. Everything about Joe and the church is a story. This theory is a story. Everything MG 3.0 and everyone else posts is a story about Joe's story. Your story with the maps and the novel Book of Mormon and resources like The View of the Hebrews, The Late War, etc. show that Joe had at his disposal everything he needed to make up a really big story. It started with his family, then treasure digging stories, then a golden Bible story that a few believed and then more believed and bingo a church is formed and the stories grew and grew. Then the stories turned to lies about multiple first visions, sex in the hay with 14 year olds and on and on. Fast forgward to become a 130 billion dollar lie.
I really do like your story the best, it beats my previous best story by DarthJ on geographical Italy. Keep up the great work but we all know that the geography really exists in the largest nation in the universe, the imagi-nation.
