In Midgley’s mind, the way to insult a woman is to have pity for her husband, and to pray for HIM, not her. The Midge is misogyny and sexism incarnate. What a miserable creature. He has a daughter who cares for him. I hope that somehow she has gained a better sense of a woman’s worth than what her father demonstrates regularly in his stereotyping crap. I get the sense her mother may have taught her better, even while under what Midgley assumed was his “control” of his family. That seems to be a common way for women to escape such nonsense. Too bad it frequently seems to take multiple generations to reach that point.

We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

I feel for Midgley's caregivers. I almost want to find out who they are and look to represent them in an abuse lawsuit. They are probably his daughters and probably have a tick due to the constant abuse he gives them. They probably have had to deal with the patriarchy abuse their entire lives. Too bad. Help meets sometimes get the short end of the stick. At least make sure the Midge has his bran so he doesn't get stopped up. My guess is that the man has suffered from indigestion his whole life. Psyllium husk works. It'll help with the crankiness.
Then DCP supports the stalker and his stalking comments. Why DCP? The man is in search of a justification for his stalking and you egg him on. Why? You know when the Midge passes, you won't bother to go to your supposed friend's funeral, just like you went out of your way to avoid Hamblin's funeral. You know that will happen. So, why support him now?
