But then after 911 they found comfort in FOX News. They were getting older, had no interest in hobbies of any kind, had little interest in music or other cultural experiences. They seemed to have no purpose at all until FOX gave them one. Hannity told my Stepdad to stop subscribing to the newspapers so he did. No more reading the "Liberal indoctrination"! Armed with talk radio and FOX talking points, now they found an identity both of them could embrace with fervor. They were now, newly anointed cultural warriors who were going to Americans with "facts" Hannity and company tell them. Now, they both carry guns wherever they go (neither have had any training) because they think that makes them more American, they seem to compete with one another to see who can sport the most flags because they think that makes them more American, and most hilariously, they act like they've loved and respected the military since forever.

And I'm willing to repent and make amends, whereas you mock me for doing so while unrepentantly adhering to a notoriously racist religion. This dovetailed with what I was always taught as a kid by my Baptist StepDad, who said black people were spawned from Cain when he procreated with monkeys. I remember vividly watching the Georgetown-Villanova championship game circa 1982-83 and him pointing to Patrick Ewing as proof of this. "See the shape of his skull and how low his arms hand to his knees."

And they say Democrats use black people as props because they want a more diverse system of judges?

Fox has promoted ‘stolen election’ and anti-vax positions, both of which would seem to have more deleterious effects on the social cohesiveness of this country than the propaganda dished out by CNN.
