I guess my question would be why people think Putin wouldn't have invaded if Trump were President. When was Trump hard on Putin? All he's done is given aid and comfort to Russia.
Well, and there wasn't a war with Ukraine while he was president. That is probably one of the key factors.

Something better change in that public opinion poll if Biden decides to send Americans off to die.
So Russia didn't invade Ukraine while Trump was President, ergo Trump was a better President? Again, you speak to no foreign policy or military decision that Trump made that Biden not. Did Hitler invade Poland because Roosevelt was President? Did Trump fundamentally change our relationship with Russia or North Korea by sheer force of personality?

Trump is really starting to remind me of Charles Lindberg and The America Firsters.

Hellifino. I was not the one answering the questions for the pollsters. I do not need to speak to foreign policy to reveal the results of a poll, nor do I need to speak to a military decision. Man, I was just saying that these were the results of poll and that 38 percent of democrats had views in line with a majority of republicans. I really truly doubt that the people who answered the poll were considering Roosevelt and Poland.

The poll result does not reveal what actually happened, it reveals the what the people think about what happened. And the people thinking a different outcome would have happened under the previous president's leadership, is an interesting data point.

I suspect the decision to invade was made because Trump lost the election, and the prospects of the US pulling out of NATO went with it. In addition NATO has been equipping and training the Ukraine army and Putin knows the longer he waits the harder it will be. Putin I doubt will invade the Baltic states in the next few years, but will press Trump to run and try like hell to get him elected. He is the only chess piece on the board that could potentially get the US out of NATO. I have never seen any president kiss as much Russian ASS as Trump. I find it hard to believe his is not in Putin's pocket.

Interesting. This is another layer of speculation on top of the speculative question in the poll. This takes it to a whole new level of whether there would be more or less incursions if Trump runs again. If the polling is an indication of Biden's policies vs. Trump's, this could get very interesting and unpredictable.

Links?

Reuters disagrees. While there have been some recycled pics here and there, this one above isn’t one of them.

“The second photo, of an injured woman with her head bandaged, is from Feb. 24, 2022 and was taken by photographer Wolfgang Schwan in the aftermath of a Russian airstrike in Ukraine, visible (here) and (here).”
