Atlanticmike - a couple of points:

1. That’s not a horse. I shouldn’t have to tell a man of your age that it isn’t a horse, but here we are.

2. Trolling, in and of itself, isn’t the issue. There’s not a board rule against occasional trolling. Most participants here have trolled, on occasion. And there’s the key point: on occasion. It isn’t the only thing that they do, like yourself.

You have to work hard to dredge up a half dozen comments over the span of years between multiple board members (and some of them are from the folks that you’re defending, lol), yet you exceed that output in any given day, because trolling is about 95% of your interaction here.

You’ve got to be the most insecure person that I’ve never met. You’ve already got the category of ‘have met’ covered.

As you guys have probably realized by now!! Nothing has changed!! I’m just the conservative that they are picking on at this very moment! Before me it was someone else! Before that guy it was someone else! Before that guy it was someone else! The one constant is it’s always a conservative they gang up on!!

This is the best clowning yet. Your not just some poor conservative victim who came here trying to present the conservative viewpoint. Maybe this is an analogy.

Political opinions are in some respects like burgers. Some people like beef, some people like chicken, some even veggie stuff. Some like cheese too, different salads, and different sauces.

But we can all agree that they are burgers (i.e. rationally stated political propositions), and if we are organizing a burger picnic we can all bring out favourites to share. We can discuss our reasons for preferring one kind of burger to another. You're allowed to bring your burger even if it is not the kind I like.

What is not allowed is when someone hands out pieces of horse dung or broken glass in buns, and keeps on dropping them onto other people's plates, so they stand up disgusted and leave the picnic. That's what trolling amounts to.

Ajax is not a troll: he states political opinions that seem to me to be profoundly misguided, and I get to explain why. Sometimes we even agree on something, and when that happens I think we are both pleased.

AtlanticMike is however a troll: he is here purely to insult and disrupt. He needs to be thrown out of the picnic.
