My Mom just sent me this. This was written to my pregnant mother 52 years ago. We were stationed in Germany at the time so I just found out I was actually conceived in Germany.

And that was the year he invested in one of them newfangled dishwashers very few people had at the time.

I love how he went back to amend the agreement with "6 weeks".

Well, that's really what's cute about the whole thing: he wrote a contract to his wife using contract-like language, including an initialed amendment.

exactly. in utter shock at the sheer number of dishes generated daily by a family and a newborn.

If he had thrown laundry in there, they would have hired a service, i'm sure.
