Starting School
Last Monday I started my first week of my third semester at Utah Valley University. It has something called the Senior Citizen Audit Program, where people like me who are 62 or older can take as many classes as they want each semester for only $20 tuition, provided there's enough room in the classes after all the regular students register. I registered for four classes and will find out this Tuesday which (if any) I get to get into. My wife made me promise to concentrate on my studies and housework for the duration of the semester, so I'm probably not going to have time to post much between now and the week before Christmas. See all of you then!

I didn’t know that program existed. I’m going to check into that. I wonder if I’ve already missed a deadline…
I have a few years on you.
I’ve enjoyed your interesting twist on God.
Best wishes.

MG

Congrats, KevinSim. I’ve thought about doing that myself as soon as I pass over the age threshold. You get credit too, don’t you?KevinSim wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 12:24 amLast Monday I started my first week of my third semester at Utah Valley University. Re: Starting School
I just checked one of our local institutions. They offer classes on a space available basis to 55+. Cost is $30.00 per credit hour. And additional $42.00 fee for online classes.
So glad you posted about this KevinSim. I take online short courses from universities in the UK but the option I choose is really just interest based level--dabble and done. It's great to do them over winter. Usually 6-8 week courses and cost free.
Good luck in your Fall semester!

Good for you, Kev. I hope you enjoy the classes you audit. I think the University of Washington has a similar program, and I’m looking forward to taking some classes once I am done being a wage slave. There’s one called “Calling BS” that I really want to take.
