Why should the rest of us have to suffer economic death by papercuts thanks to these partisan special interest groups/voting blocks? Why isn't it the borrower's responsibility to pay back the tuition costs of his degree in lesbian dance theory?

Wow. What a compelling argument.

Cluster B personality disorders are characterized by dramatic, overly emotional or unpredictable thinking or behavior. They include antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, histrionic personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorder. Binger is on a variety of meds and abuses alcohol. He’s only here for attention since rational thinking is out the damned window with that one. As is the case with most magaturds (they’re loons led around by their noses by populists) Bing Bong is in the most literal sense physically unable to adjust his neurons to accommodate sober thinking. He’s not alone, though. Probably ~40% of the population is affected by a sort of natural insanity due to genetics and environment.

Aren’t the folks receiving the assistance also paying for it through their own taxes? It’s not like you’re the only fellow footing the bill.
