Let me remind you of this thread you so readily summarized for Shades: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=155911
The problem, as I see it, is that Alex Jones may well be finished by these awards against him and by the exposure of this. But in a way, Alex Jones has already won because, you know, when he started Infowars, he owned conspiracy theories. At this point, the Republican Party and Fox News and the entire right sort of own the conspiracy theory space. It has become mainstream.
Do you reject this? Of course you do.
Posted elsewhere, but as it is relevant to your point about ‘owning the conspiracy theory space’, here’s what the current leader of the Republican Party is doing these days: ‘re-truthing’ Q-drops.

I’m sure that this has no effect on the talking points offered by his voter base.

What it comes down to is the difference between a Fox News viewer and someone inclined to get their information from the more direct conspiratorial sources doesn't really exist based on the outcome of information consumption. It's a functional part of the information ecosystem that allows the illusion of separation to exist even as the actually positions taken align. Being able to imagine there is a separation helps maintain the health of the conspiracy ecosystem.
Exactly. The mind numbing nonsense from Right Wing punditry can and does come from a number of worthless sources, but they all piggyback off of each other so trying to make distinctions is pointless because there really isn't any difference. Whether it is the 87,000 IRS agents or whatever, it doesn't really matter where it originated from, the point is you can google it and the only outlets propagating it as factual are the usual suspects. Brietbart, Daily Caller, FOX News, Newsmax, OAN, NY Post, Town Hall, The Federalist, etc. The list is actually pretty long but they're basically regurgitating some nonsensical claim that first shows up from some Trump defender speaking on FOX News.

I laughed out loud when I saw Binger reference a website that's basically a club for geriatric hyper-conservative types. I could see him googling the subject and then using that obscure outfit as his source so he didn't have to reference FOX or Brietbart. But on several occasions I've caught him relaying Right Wing talking points that literally originated the night before on FOX Noise. That's why I have a hard time believing he doesn't watch it. I mean, why wouldn't he? They're obviously saying all the things he likes to hear.

So Veritas believes in a conspiracy, based on a theory, that I watch FOX. But your conspiracy is that I watch everything like FOX so I am able to deny watching FOX.
You aren't describing a conspiracy. You doing whatever it is that you do is not a conspiracy. Someone else's claims about why you do what you do are not "conspiracy theories." They may be (and probably are) bad mind reading, but they are not conspiracy theories. You're drawing a massive false equivalency.

You've let drop from time to time what you use as sources. Given the nature of those sources, it's not surprising that they echo or resemble the party line on Fox News. You say you don't watch Fox News. I find that entirely believable. I also don't think you avoid Fox News for the purpose of being able to deny watching Fox News. I don't really care, but if I had to guess at gunpoint, I'd guess it's because Fox is too corporatist for you. You seem to value the common sense of the everyman over expertise, and Fox News is not the everyman.
Spectacular post, Res. Well done.

So you now agree that I don’t watch FOX but you don’t believe it? And now you have a theory that I google search the topics that I saw on FOX the night before. And this fits your theory that there is a conspiracy among these broadcasters to parrot what originates on FOX.

Cool conspiracies, bruh. Do you believe these conspiracies when you are wearing your cool tank top, bruh?
