Somehow that link brought up a bunch of random tweets. One of them was Will revealing that he is genetically predisposed toward choral music. LOL. I'm also genetically predisposed toward choral music, I have no singing talent either. That put me in the ward choir instead of singing a solo for the Messiah or singing in a rock band or something. I'm sure the Cedar City Third Ward choir is a perfect fit for his music genes.

Russia’s chief propagandist has just said Russian officers should be executed for their failures in Ukraine. He’s Putler’s spokesman - so yeah, think about that for a hot second and how that’s going to affect Russian morale, which is already in the toilet. Perhaps they’ll find themselves in these “kill sacs” William “Moscow” Schryver is imagining. As a reminder this is the message Putin is sending through Solovyov:

Now they've come right out and said that Ukraine is only the first stage in their 'security through conquest' project, it really does seem quite a good idea to make sure that this first stage is made as difficult and expensive for the Russians as can be managed.

Now some may scoff at my linking to The Sun, but the article runs down the list of wealthy Russians meeting early demises since this war kicked off, so I feel comfortable with the information reported as is.

You know. For people who obsessed endlessly over Vince Foster and others, the Right here doesn’t seem to care close associates of their fave authoritarian terrorist are flying out windows and falling off boats. I guess the question I have is, why are Russian insiders suddenly passing away? I’d google it, but that apparently means one is a daft monkey, so if anyone here has an encyclopedic knowledge of the Russian and various Slavic languages, culture, history, political apparatus, internal socioeconomic alliances, and geopolitical aims projecting out to ~120 years (gotta be sure to bookend this century, knowwhatI’msayin’?) I’d be much obliged if you’d spare a primer that’s no less than 5,000 words.

If Putin is getting his ass handed to him and it looks like he is with the counter-offensive, at least we know that his supposed aims for the rest of Europe are hot air. It looks like his army isn't up to the task of conquering Ukraine much less than the rest of Europe. Perhaps now is the time to start some negotiations where we can get some good terms? We got the military spending bump our beloved contractors craved and so now how about we have some peace without bankrupting the European continent or having them freeze to death this winter?

According to Peter Zeihan, the odds are still in Putin's favor. Yes, they got beat back severely, but according to him, they've been in similar situations before and have come back to win. Although, there is an additional manufacturing constraint this time, which we can hope matters a lot but who knows.

edit: instead of bumping the thread I’ll just add that Russia is now involuntarily extending in-country troops’ contracts to October - don’t be surprised if Putler attempts a national mobilization in an attempt to turn things around, which the Russians can actually do theough sheer manpower. If they can manage to stage, supply, and arm ~300,000 Russians, or rather troops fighting for Russia, they could probably hold Crimea and the South.

On a side note, for Ukraine to put a dagger in this thing they really need Germany to go all in with regard to tanks and artillery. I’m not sure Germany wants that, though. They’re playing the political game with their version of Magamaniacs so it’s unclear. Perhaps they’re waiting to see how our elections go here. *shrugs*

edit2: CSTO created by Moscow denied Armenia military assistance in the confrontation with Azerbaijan. The CSTO is kind of like their NATO. They basically dipped on a CSTO member.
