Re: Is Kwaku ok?
I hear what you people are saying and I understand the compassion and sentiment. Really, I do. I have feelings too.
BUT, that smart ass little bastard made his bed and now he can lie in it! That's how life works. What comes around goes around. Quack, quack!!
And with that said, that's how it works, baby.

I echo Kishkumen and Stuess’s sentiments, but also want to point out the deep irony of this. The Mopologists—*especially* Daniel Peterson—have been exceptionally flippant and dismissive on the issue of mental health. How often was I called a “loon” or told to “take [my] meds”? One of DCP’s “minions”—Joey Green—was really horrible in this respect. Just a totally awful, insensitive, myopic scumbag. Meanwhile, when Bill Hamblin died, there were rumors swirling that it was a suicide. So, I sincerely hope that the apologists—and Daniel Peterson in particular—can step up and accept a bit more accountability when it comes to mental health.
"If, while hoping that everybody else will be honest and so forth, I can personally prosper through unethical and immoral acts without being detected and without risk, why should I not?." --Daniel Peterson, 6/4/14

I don’t think defending Mormonism is healthy for one’s mental fitness. John Gee looks profoundly unhappy in every interview I’ve seen. DCP frequently hides behind self deprecating sarcasm.
I really hope Kwaku gets the help he needs, but also takes a much needed break from trying to square the circle with defending Mormonism.

You’d have to be crazy to post all that on the internet.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that his next lockup will be in a jail cell.
The dude is nuts. Absolutely nuts.

Anything about the 5.7 quake that landed Moroni’s Instrument and how that magnitude is emblematic of the Davidic Servant?Everybody Wang Chung wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 2:22 pmWell, his Midnight Mormon show has recently devolved into something very similar to Coast to Coast.
The shows now are typically about werewolves, vampires, witchcraft and the paranormal. All faith promoting material.

I won’t comment on the details above, but it appears that Kwaku’s comments about his own visit to the psych ward show plenty of disdain for the mental health system. Seems like his views are more or less in line with many LDS people I have known.Doctor Scratch wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 2:40 amI echo Kishkumen and Stuess’s sentiments, but also want to point out the deep irony of this. "I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”
