What exactly Is Wrong with Polygamy anyway?

3. Women are married at a younger and younger age (not sustainable- eventually marry at birth and then program hits a wall).

Source? This is no small assertion. Does national or historical data back this up? What are the percentages? Men leaving early Mormonism out of frustration with polygamy’s hierarchy of choice doesn’t count.

But the evidence shows that LDS men outnumbered LDS women in the Territory and in the church throughout the period that Polygamy was practiced in Utah.

Today, for ages 18 to 33, single men outnumber single women. How do you know young Mormon women didn't outnumber Mormon men in their 20s?

One common justification that many Mormons have given for polygamy was that there were more women than men, and the women needed husbands in the harsh West to survive. This is simply not true. Population statistics for Utah from 1850 to 1950 show that there were always more men than women (Caucasian only):

The math doesn’t work out for 2 wives 1 cup man, and it certainly doesn’t work out when men started taking 3+ wives.

Look at the censuses. Jesus. As far as reliability goes google it. I’m sure there’s a +/- %, but since I’m not an omniscient god I can’t answer your question with exactitude.

Samuel Bateman, a self-proclaimed “prophet” of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, had 20 wives, many of whom were under the age of 15, according to an FBI investigation. Bateman drank wine and had sex with a male follower, Moroni Johnson, in a motel room in Lincoln, Nebraska, in front of his underage wives, new court documents show, some of whom were Johnson’s own daughters. The FBI said the women and girls were required to stand naked and watch the “binding of brothers.”

Bateman also forced his wives to have sex with other male followers, the documents say. He maintained that he was acting under instructions from “Heavenly Father,” and told the girls that had “sacrificed their virtue for the Lord.” Eight underage girls said to be Bateman’s wives were found at a Spokane Air BnB last Thursday, according to the Spokesman-Review. They had previously run away from children’s homes in Arizona where they were placed following Bateman’s arrest in August on charges of child endangerment.

Your table doesn't show any data about single men and single women in their 20s.

I don't think the 1850s census was very reliable.

I've read it now. My original post generated a firestorm, and my time on this forum has been pretty limited, so I've just made it this far now. (Although I did take the time to respond to a post by Dr. Shades way further into this thread, out of order.) My lab partner and I just turned in the report for our Digital Design II class project yesterday, and the only thing left is the final exam this Thursday, so I might have a little bit more time to spend on this forum for three weeks.

Zera Pulsipher, the man who baptized Wilford Woodruff, at the age of 68 polygamously married a 14-year-old girl named Martha Hughes. Martha had her first baby a year later.

Also, WW married 267 dead women, and was ‘celestially married’ to children and babies. It’s all there for your education, KS. You just have to look upon Moses’ staff to be saved.
