No she doesn’t argue that young men are “the loneliest group of people.”
 That's what she meant.
No that’s not what she meant, because she clearly did not say it. She quite clearly said “young people.” You continue to demonstrate your sexist attitude.

Here’s where I again will step out of the conversation to consider whether doubtingthomas is simply a troll. It is extremely difficult to conclude that an adult would legitimately argue what DT has argued above. A troll? Yes.

Did you brother to read the second paragraph? The article is clearly about the lack of "pathways for young men". You deny the fact that there are more lonely young men than lonely young women. Young men are more likely to be single than young women.

The fact that you keep denying and ignoring that only proves that you are a horrible person.

Better to be a troll than an awful person who denies a big problem.

Not directly, but I still deleted that to make you happy.

But don't deny that fact that "Most researchers, however, agree that single men tend to be especially lonely"

Further posts show further intent. A troll. Moving on.

A female author is telling society to, "help young men"

Having read the article thoroughly - which I’m sure that you did, given you’ve posted the link - what would or should that ‘help’ consist of, in your opinion?
That's something that Marcus and many here will never accept.
I suspect that you’re misinterpreting ‘acceptance’ for the difference of opinion between yourself and Marcus on what’s causing the current problem.

hey canpakes, you corrected doubtingthomas' misquotes of me, but you didn't leave any red mod comments to explain yourself. the comment is now extremely disjointed, because you replaced sources but didn't acknowledge who DT is speaking to. this is about the fourth time DoubtingThomas has 'conveniently' misquoted me recently. At what point do you deal with his rule-breaking? do i have to be the one to point out his repeated rulebreaking in a post? Why can't it be stopped? it is a technique he repeatedly engages in, it breaks the rules, he obviously does it to generate a negative response, and if mods just jiggle it around behind the scenes without acknowledging the rulebreaking, all that happens is that you open the door for it to happen repeatedly. please consider this request.

Unfortunately, the board does not yet have a formalized rule against sloppy quote-nesting.

I may have to measure DT for a shock collar soon, though, if this keeps up.

DT, if you aren’t fully aware of the scope of your repeated mis-quoting, please make yourself aware. I haven’t yet settled on a solution for you in lieu of your own diligence, but I can be perversely imaginative.
