…a peerless reviewed article in Interpreter
Philo, I have been laughing over this nonstop since I read it. I don’t know if it was autocorrect or all you, but in my opinion, this is the single best description of the Interpreter process since it was called the Playground Peer Review.
That does my heart good you enjoyed it so much! It just popped into my head so I typed it out.

How many of you here know F.A.R.M.S. and by extension Book of Mormon Central & Interpreter Foundation & FAIR ripped off the Two Cumorah Mesoamerica theory which was created and copyrighted by a RLDS member who died in 1925?

The copyrights on his books and maps have expired, now in the Public Domain.

I first read Hills’ Geography of Mexico and Central America from 2234 B.C. to 421 A.D. as a teenager, and I even pinned a photocopy of his map on my bedroom wall, next to my Vanilla Ice poster. I now own all his books (Hills’, not Vanilla Ice’s). I’ve visited his house (201 S. Willis Ave., Independence, Missouri). I look forwarding to shaking Hills’ hand and thanking him in the Spirit World for his good work.

Yes. Dr. Scratch, the B.H. Roberts Chair of Mopologetic Studies, had a couple of great threads about this. It even made number 6 on Dr. Scratch's Top Ten Happenings of Mopology: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=154423&p=2756442

TwoCumorahFraud, what are your thoughts about Mike Parker being Peter Pan?
Also very curious about this

Somebody has been coaxed into muddying the waters. The single comment at Mike parker's most recent blog entry tries to shift blame to Dehlin...

When Heartlanders say M2C and SITH "have no leg to stand on" and "are causing people to lose testimonies" I am reminded of the interview of Rod Meldrum with Mormon Stories. I can't provide evidence for this, but watching it, I just knew Dehlin and company were feeding Rod's ego to get him to trash and call out Book of Mormon scholarship that is more threatening to their cause. They 100% do not buy the scientific worldview of Heartlanders (which they for sure think it is quackery) but would constantly say that only Rod's view is honest and coherent with Mormon Doctrine. The whole thing was bait to get an influential member of church to reject the majority of the Latter-day Saint apologetics and tie the rest to science that is very very difficult to defend. Mormon Stories is anti, but they think Heartlanders "have no leg to stand on." Everyone, including myself, who has taught heartland theory knows how difficult it is explain the information to nonmembers/nonbelievers. It isn't an easy defense to make in missionary settings.
I say this as a former FIRM expo speaker and as Rod's friend, but I think he made a huge mistake going on Mormon Stories. Overall, I think he hurt the Latter-day Saint cause. But I know he meant well.

But of course. Everyone else is guilty except Mormon apologists and leaders themselves... The only method they have that continues to fool their own followers is the method of distraction away form their own abject uselessness and weasly attempts to smear everyone who doesn't think like them and believe like them. It's the Mormon Gospel. Their first and great commandment is "Pay the Money!" The Second is like unto it, "Defend the Brethren even when they are wrong and you know it."

You are too right philo. I recently saw a post on reddit, of an LDS member who had been disfellowshipped. The list of things they could not do was long and detailed, but what they were expected --in fact. ORDERED to do, was to pay a full and generous tithe and fast offering during their disfellowshipment. So, no participation tolerated, but the LDS leadership demanded their money. That is reprehensible.

I know someone who was judged by his Bishop to be worthy of a Temple Recommend, but only after he paid 6 months of back-tithing.

In a way I can see it as a "token" of good faith, but on the other hand it seems like a shakedown.

How many other Christian churches engage in this shameful practice?

I challenge any Mormon to name one.
