It really drives home the point that these homophobic leaders are at war with themselves. Society has left them in the decades past, when it was ok to call for violence against “sissies,” and their neanderthal brains haven’t been able to catch up.

I have a client who was a supervisor at the Nauvoo, Illinois restoration. Several years ago his son committed suicide because of the LDS stance on his sexuality. This "apology" will never replace the life of this young man, much less all the grief and torment my client and his family had to endure.
