MG luxuriates in a flawed epistemology, which for him is nothing more than an endless special pleading argument - that his beliefs are special in the sense that they can't be challenged by conventional logic and reasoning. Obviously feelings are not a reliable pathway to truth, but he uses them to codify his cognitive bias as truth. It’s probably the worst epistemology you can have.MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 8:53 pmNo it doesn’t.honorentheos wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 5:27 am

Wouldn’t a cult tell you to ignore the fact that the history of their church is problematic enough that it should be avoided entirely?
President Joseph Fielding Smith (President of the LDS Church in the early 1970’s) stated: “Mormonism must stand or fall on the story of Joseph Smith. He was either a Prophet of God, divinely called, properly appointed and commissioned or he was one of the biggest frauds this world has ever seen. There is no middle ground. If Joseph was a deceiver, who willfully attempted to mislead people, then he should be exposed, his claims should be refuted, and his doctrines shown to be false…” (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1 pp.188-189.)
And then grow to maturity. Whether or not she would then remain a plural wife of Wilford Woodruff is debatable.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 10:54 amhttps://tokensandsigns.org/the-267-hidd ... -woodruff/
The 267 Hidden Brides of Wilford Woodruff
…according to Mormon doctrine, Lydia Hart will be resurrected as a 6 year old girl and a plural wife of Wilford Woodruff.

That wouldn’t matter in the hereafter. Do the research. Prophets have taught that children will grow to the age of maturity.Moksha wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 12:19 pmPerhaps she was just a few months shy of seven.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 10:54 amLydia Hart will be resurrected as a 6 year old girl and a plural wife of Wilford Woodruff.

Moksha was being cheeky, and referencing the Church's essay on Joseph's plural wives wherein the Church couldn't bring themselves to say that Joseph married a 14-year-old child, instead saying she was "a few months shy of 15."

Telling people that Mormonism can't be understood after having lived it for any length of time once one has left it is, in fact, calling it a cult in the worst possible way. This dual reality you demand exists in order to create an "other" out of those who leave is bad cult 101.MG 2.0 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 8:53 pmNo it doesn’t.honorentheos wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 5:27 amYes. Truth be told, she might choose an altogether different path. But her options are open rather than closed. That’s what ordinances and covenants do, they open doors. We then choose whether or not to enter and/or walk through them.
The important thing is that she has been sealed into the family of God. The Apostle Peter was given similar keys.
