Ajax , you may be correct that the chances of stopping the drug trade are slim. It is closing in on a hundred years of war on drugs and no administration left right or whatever has found a win stopping the matter. Even so I do not think it is a good idea to tax the working folks more.

You realize that there are some low employment areas where people have allowed disability claims to get relatively easy approval. You are in what is in some ways a local problem and you would have to campaign against neighbors to create pressure to change. Fentanyl dealers should be treated as foreign agents working on behalf of China and executed.

I'm all about freedom to choose what you put in your body.

Legalize drugs even (to some extent) to get rid of the black market.

But there are some drugs, like Fentanyl, that should not be considered drugs. They should be considered chemical weapons.

In high school I learned about how drugs were used in the boxer rebellion. A 3 minute video about it didn’t mention drugs so this makes me wonder if they were deployed in later conflicts.
