Re: where is there freedom

That Trump could be allowed to run for any office after staging a failed coup shows how fragile our constitution is. We are on the verge of civilizational collapse thanks to meatheads like Ajax who confuses a neo-fascist personality cult with freedom.
"I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”

This is a myth. The legal processes are being applied to Trump because no one is above the law.
Hunter Biden is a good example of someone above the law. The sweetheart deal the DOJ sought and would have gotten were it not for the whistleblowers and a judge are great examples of someone being above the law because his father ultimately is the law.
I'm curious, Ajax. Can you detangle what you believe Hunter is guilty of from the actual details here?

Tax evasion and illegal firearms, but the real crime has been in the campaign lies, coverup, and obvious partisan influence of the DOJ.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Joe Biden has done enormous damage to democracy with his partisan prosecution of his likely political opponent. This is what election interference and damage to democracy looks like. Leftists aren't for democracy, they're for socialism and open borders by any means necessary regardless of what the majority wants.

Joe Biden isn't the one who is prosecuting his likely political opponent. Biden had absolutely nothing with Trump and 18 others recently being indicted by the DA of Fulton County.

What lies and what does that have to do with Hunter Biden being investigated?

I'd recommend Allen Dershowitz book, "The plot to get Trump." Allen also does an interview on the Glenn Beck program last week. Allen Dershowitz is a classical liberal who voted against Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020 but has been ostracized for being Trump's attorney. Allen demonstrates in great detail what freedoms we have lost upon the altar of "getting Trump no matter what it takes."

Setting a precedent of going after Trump's lawyers for legally challenging the election results, something Dershowitz admitted doing the same thing when he represented Al Gore in 2000, will ultimately destroy rule of law in the US. And Biden did meet with the DOJ and likely encouraged them to prosecute Trump. He even told Merrick Garland to stop acting like an altar boy and go after Trump. I suppose you could say that Biden is too demented and incoherent to take seriously but whoever runs the Biden campaign clearly has weaponized the justice system against the Trump campaign.

Trump and company are not being charged for bringing legal challenges. They are being charged for going outside the legal process: pressuring state governments to "come up with" more votes, assembling slates of fraudulent electors to replace those required by state law, and pressuring Congress and the vice-president to accept those electors as if they were legal.

Gore exhausted the legal challenges and then very publicly conceded his loss. I remember the speech he gave when conceding. Trump committed crimes rather than do the same.

Gore believed in the rule of law. Trump believes in the rule of Trump. What's bizarre is that Trump has so many dupes like you, willing to rewrite your own memories so you can't see the difference.
