Oh gee, look, the [Spirit Prison-caliber name deleted] who doesn't understand anything about economics is cutting and pasting another Brietfart article because he likes the headline.

agreed.
This has got to be one of the dumbest observations ever, and it was highlighted in blue by Ajax as if it were important. Ajax, GTFU.like child tax credits and the super-sized earned income tax credit—that pumped up incomes and contributed to the worst inflation in decades.

Writing people checks isn't going to reduce child poverty. Mommy and Daddy getting and staying married and Daddy working a job is what reduces child poverty. The reason for child poverty are Democrat laws and policies that have led to the destruction of the family unit. We've done things how Democrats wanted and these are the results. This is a Democrat economy and you need to own it.

Re: Biden's Economy?
I am repeatedly and consistently gob smacked at how cluelessly ajax continues promote the idea that Democrat administrations in general, Biden's in particular, are bad and even disastrous for the national economy despite that by almost every measure Democrat administrations almost invariably result in better economies and show greater fiscal responsibility than Republican ones! He obviously sees only what he wants to see. I wish he could bring himself to stop "drinking the MAGA cool-aid" and acknowledge reality for a change! It seems that ever since the Great Depression itself, economies took a serious turn for the worse during Republican administrations, only to be rescued and turned around for the better during subsequent Democrat administrations. Why do ajax and his fellow ultra-conservatives seem utterly incapable of learning from that?Gadianton wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 1:43 amagreed.

It's like they think the only valid criterion defining a good and prosperous economy is the ultra-rich and powerful gaining ever more wealth and power than they already had and getting tax reductions, with little or no concern for what happens to the middle and lower classes and the economically disadvantaged and/or disabled.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Re: Biden's Economy?
And yet child poverty is dramatically reduced when Democrat policies are enforced. Gee, wonder why? You're repeating debunked talking points fed to you by the uber wealthy who want you to believe poor people are only poor because they're not working hard enough. How the hell is Mommy and Daddy supposed to work when the cost of child care is through the roof? This is why countries that have policies akin to what Democrats want don't have the levels of poverty we do.ajax18 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 3:05 pmWriting people checks isn't going to reduce child poverty. Dad goes to work, Mom stays with her children. If Mom doesn't want to care for her children and Dad doesn't want to work to pay for them, then they shouldn't breed children. Until that becomes more common than not, no economic system is going to alleviate child poverty. How the hell is Mommy and Daddy supposed to work when the cost of child care is through the roof?

Re: Biden's Economy?
Well it looks like you're going to get the economy you deserve regardless of who you choose to blame for it. Aren't you glad we trashed the economy in the name of COVID? Like you said, those who followed the CDC's socialist distancing guidelines, mask mandates, and vaccines never got the deadly COVID virus, while everyone else died. And yet, 99.96% of us are still alive today. Great decision Veritas, well worth it.Vēritās wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 6:19 pmExcept for those countries where it does.ajax18 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 4:58 pmDad goes to work, Mom stays with her children. Re: Biden's Economy?
Question for you Gad. Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?
What's on the horizon? The UAW will get their crazy demands. General Motors will go bankrupt due to the union and the green new deal. The taxpayer will then be on the hook to bail them out. And the cycle will repeat itself.
