I’m so glad you have that behind you now. That stuff they give you to drink is nasty, no matter what flavor they add to it. Ugh, I’ll just take chalk flavored.

Your experience reminded me of one time, the doc/radiologist was going to do a stereotactic biopsy where the machine, after they get it set for two simultaneous views, does a core biopsy. I was really not liking the idea of a machine shooting a long needle in to obtain a biopsy. I was so very anxious. When they told me that they were sorry, but we can’t get two simultaneous views and we will have to take you to the main OR for your biopsy, I was so relieved that I jumped off of the thing they had me raised up in the air on before they could get it lowered down. I got down so quickly, they probably thought for a minute that I was falling off.
I was like, I’ll race you to the OR.

Think about other things and keep yourself busy while you wait for the results.

Isn't amazing what we're willing to celebrate like going to the OR instead of an automatic needle (instead of a human hand with human control) shooting into you like getting your ears pierced but it's your actual body?

Not gonna lie. I'm worn out. But...I keep thinking for those scoping procedures that it'll end up being a better experience because they'll be giving me propofol which I totally love. Just shut off my brain please and knock me out so I can't think.

Thinking and obsessing is my greatest problem. I will try to be patient and stay. out. of. the. portal.

I'll work on my crafts for sale. I'm supposed to be selling the first weekend of November and haven't been able to concentrate on it very much. Time to dive in!

Well done. You got through it. Keep plodding on.

I was planning to paint today. I've got 6 days where I am able to get the hall and livingroom done. The hall, will take two days because I have to gloss then paint. And then the livingroom, if Jamie helps, I can get the white freshened. Got wallpaper for the bottom half coming Monday so had thought I can get the kids to strip wallpaper with me but I've realised we aren't here this weekend.

My problem is for every 5 minutes I work I need about 15 minutes break to let the pain subside and rebuild my motivation and energy. But it's never 15 minutes because I get distracted with something else. I need like a hyper fixation zone to come over me so I can push through this feeling. Can't feel it coming. Ughhh. I cleaned the pool so now I'm knackered.

I can do that! All I've got done right now is 20 sets of farmhouse beads (or casa beads) for tier trays, table tops, and shelves. I've got everything else ready to roll. I just need to actually get rolling. 8-)

Lol. Decades ago, while a newly designated doctor held a large amniocentesis needle over my exceedingly pregnant belly, he asked what i taught, and then joked, "i nver did get the hang of calculus.. it just didn't make sense to me!"

The supervising Doctor must have caught the look on my face, beause he retrieved the needle and banished the dunce, and then finished the procedure in the most solicitous and professional way possible. My spouse loves to tell that story...

Anyway, tell us how everything went!!

Nice. He never got the hang of calc and stupidly said so in front of his patient.

Oh I wrote a whole crazy thing about it upthread. I should just rename this thread a journal at this point. First test is in the books. Tomorrow I have to do blood labs and they still didn't schedule the last procedure so I'll have to call them I guess. Then...results. :o

Thank you! Even a Jersey Girl can use a "well done" now and then!

What does it mean you have to gloss first? Is that something to do with plaster walls?

It is SO hard to get things done when you're not well. I had to stop the kitchen painting when the roofers started because it was too much noise so I had to leave for a while every day then come back to the same noise and mariachi music. I liked their music though. :) I used to be able to get the kitchen or other rooms painted in 1-2 days. Not with this stuff I am going through. I'm back at it in spurts and it's almost done. One wall has got those sliding glass doors so not much painting around that and then just a small area of wall in back of the china hutch...which means I have to take everything out of the hutch in order to move it. :o

If what you can do is 5 minutes, then pat yourself on the back for that 5 minutes! That is a major accomplishment on your part! 5 minutes of something is far better than 5 minutes of nothing! Every time you look at your 5 minutes work you can say, "I got that much done." :D Try to focus on what you managed to do. Not what you didn't. You have a family and a home that you take care of. That is a lot when you feel unwell!

The phone next to me rang as soon as I posted that last. My heart jumped into my stomach. It was a spam voicemail. I'm not on edge or anything.

Suck it up, Jersey. Suck it up.

Aww. Hopefully the results will be in soon and it will take away that waiting feeling.

Gloss is the type of paint I'm using for the dado rail, banister and skirting boards. Can't remember what you guys call them. The boards around the bottom of all the walls, it's like white varnish. Really sticky so it's taking ages.

Jumped out my skin. Jamie dropped something.

My nerves are gone. Blahhh.
