Doctor, was the 2022 award merely vacated? Surely there was another contestant, a close second. Please don't leave the faculty hanging like this!

I believe that write-in nominations are welcome. But I also see nothing wrong with simply leaving the year vacant.

Or perhaps retroactively award it to Mike Parker because he was doing what we thought Stephen Smoot was doing. Then leave 2023 with only one winner, Robert Boylan.

Or maybe pull a Time Magazine stunt and name "Mopologetic Mendacity" the award winner for 2022.
"I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”

An elegant solution, Dr. Shades. Let it be so!

Congratulations Mike Parker!!

I've heard through the grapevine last week that relations between Mike Parker and DCP are chilly at best right now. Apparently, DCP is very disappointed that Mike isn't continuing his attack blog.

On the other hand, I've heard that Mike isn't too thrilled with DCP and feels he was hung out to dry with little or no support from DCP. Mike has learned a valuable lesson we've all known for years. Namely, Mopologetics is a harsh mistress, and that DCP is a total dick.

He (DCP) did the same with his supposed good friend Bill Hamblin in his debacle of a debate with Phil Jenkins where Jenkins simply mopped the floor with Hamblin's arguments. Is this why Bill retired early and left town, to get away from his friends who never came to his aid?
Note to Apologists of Mormonism... NEVER rely on Daniel C. Peterson to come to your aid in public helping you refute an opponent. He can't. Neither can you, but asking him to help is to lead to bitter disappointment, every. single. time.

In Dr. Peterson's defense, he now has a full beard like many of the Church presidents. He is bucking the trend of corporate America.

It must feel so good to finally be allowed a wee bit o freedom to be natural and have facial hair God gave in the first place and the brethren took away for some stupid cultural reason and ridiculous image making ...

In DCP’s defense, he’s under no obligation to bail out anyone who gets him or herself into stupid situations. That’s their own fault, not his.
