Nelson reaffirms TK smoothie doctrine that gender is not eternal

Post by drumdude »

In direct contradiction to the proclamation on the family and the justification for anti-LGBT doctrine.

This woman (who is likely to lose her gender in the Telestial kingdom) lays it out very nicely.

This talk has generated a lot of frustration and anger. "Never take counsel of those who don't believe,” is so damaging and mean. It certainly is not going to help member retention. Nelson needs to learn that if you do not want to be called a cult, then you shouldn't say culty things.

John Larsen predicted over 10 years ago that as the Mormon church begins to shrink, the only ones who would remain would be the fundamentalists. So over time the religion would grow increasingly fundamentalist.

I think he was quite prophetic.

If you must see a therapist, better to seek therapy from a Jodi Hildebandt than a Gentile therapist who may lead you astray.

That door will swing both ways, sadly. Why would people want to interact with someone who they know will discount everything they say because of a difference in religious beliefs?

Nelson's talk was horrible, but he did not affirm TK smoothie doctrine or say gender isn't eternal.

I took those remarks to suggest gender bits won't work for Telestial bodies. Like, no "smoothie" but perfectly-restored, functionless decorations.

Like the heart, which will also be useless in resurrected bodies.

Or so the doctrine aligns.

The Book of Mormon specifically states twice that in the resurrection for both the righteous and the wicked "there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost" and "a hair of the head shall not be lost." Well, what about the rest of the body and so-called "perfect frame?"

QUESTION:

Will men sport muffs?

What say ye, Philo? You better repent or else ur gonnna look like a woman!

That’s what happens when you use euphemisms like Telestial Bodies.” It would be much clearer to just say “Only faithful Mormons get to have eternal sex.”

Will Calvin Klein be permitted to show off his decorations? Will the brethren be permitted to hang their decorations freely?

I'm sure Bill Reel is itching to show what he's got!
