Schools, hospitals, and refugee camps. 83 countries, including the US, have signed legal docs in the UN to refrain from using explosive weapons with wide-area effects – including heavy artillery and aerial bombs – in densely populated areas because of how likely they are to kill and injure civilians indiscriminately. Israel’s continuous bombardments of Gaza, which have reduced city blocks and large parts of neighborhoods to rubble, are heinous. Obviously heinous.
They have become like Russians in the eyes of the world. It’s not aNtIsEmItIsM. It’s ‘we have eyeballs and this is screwed up and surpasses what Hamas did in spades’. It’s wildly out of proportion.

And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Of course not, that goes against the doctrine of moral agency.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 5:46 pmSo, you’re cool with this then?ajax18 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 10:19 pmHow concerned were Grant, Sherman, or Lincoln about Confederate civilian casualties? Listen to Mark Levin's account of the siege of Vicksburg. No two state solution was acceptable, only unconditional surrender. And the Confederates didn't use civilians as shields nor carry on the war as a guerrilla campaign for 50 years as the Arabs have done.
That's kind of what the deep state is doing to Trump supporters, anti abortion activists, Catholics, and parents who speak out against critical race theory.

This is literally happening right now, and Israel is doing it in spades. Do you support how Israel is going about its business?ajax18 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 6:02 pmOf course not, that goes against the doctrine of moral agency.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 5:46 pmSo, you’re cool with this then?

Israel isn't targeting babies or civilians. Civilian casualties are unfortunate but civilians cannot be a shield for terrorists to hide behind.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 6:16 pmThis is literally happening right now, and Israel is doing it in spades. The difference between targeting civilians and dropping a bomb that will kill civilians makes no difference to the dead and wounded civilians.ajax18 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 6:19 pmIsrael isn't targeting babies or civilians. If Hamas is literally underground, go underground and kill it.ajax18 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 5:58 pmIs there no evidence that Hamas's pentagon operates conveniently beneath a hospital? How would you expect to win a war if all the enemy has to do is conduct it's operations under a hospital or behind human shields? I think there should be laws for combat/war. But I think such laws should discourage the way Hamas is fighting, not reward them time to regroup and rearm. The excuse is always Hamas something something something, but that's an easy claim to make with no evidence.

Re: Israel
It's not worth Israel losing that many of its own men being drawn into a fight in the tunnel. I think my own soldiers should hold a higher priority than enemy civilians. To value enemy civilians over my own soldiers would be immoral in my opinion.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 6:39 pmIf Hamas is literally underground, go underground and kill it.ajax18 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 5:58 pmIs there no evidence that Hamas's pentagon operates conveniently beneath a hospital? When Israel becomes hated for its atrocities, we too will become hated for supporting Israel.
