Note that Tapir Rodeo DID NOT mention DCP in this post. Flemming brought him up in the reply, and now he wants to criticize people for focusing on DCP.

Tapir Rodeo’s point is valid. LDS apologists have routinely used sock puppets to criticize anonymous critics who post under pseudonyms. Bringing up one apologist who posted under his own name for 20 years is a dumb distraction, especially when he could have posted under pseudonyms and we just don’t know it. After all, he has done so in the past.

I also note the inaccuracy of Lemming’s claim that DCP has posted under his own name “his entire career.”

I went back to read the interaction, and Tapir was clearly not talking about DCP. He made no indication he was speaking of DCP. There was a recent incident involving an anonymous sycophant of DCP that he was most likely referring to, especially since he's had plenty of interaction with this particular sycophant. Not to mention DCP has praised the sycophant in his anonymous exploits.

Your comment was wrong in a second way. You went on to explain that DCP has posted under his own name for his whole online career, and Everybody Wang Chung showed this isn't correct.

Now, you may try to rescue yourself by claiming DCP has rarely posted anonymously, and in general he's maintained a very high level of visibility and this is true. Saying that he has posted "anonymously" even if true could be misleading, depending on the context. However, the context here is that you jumped into the thread with blazing guns calling someone stupid when you clearly didn't realize that he was absolutely not referring to DCP. That aggressive posture lowers your margin for error as you attempt to make corrections.

What other apologist do the people on this board ever talk about? Showing the master apologist—nay, the kingpin himself—does not post anonymously, severely destroys tapir’s dumb statement. There are no guns blazing here, I pointed out a stupid statement and have more than shown just how stupid it is.

And yes, Kishkumen, DCP could be posting anonymously without us knowing. He could also be a professional StarCraft player. Where I come from, we avoid arguments from ignorance.
