Interesting that you say you’re going to get it straight, before not getting it straight. Let me simplify it for you.

Let’s say a bloke called Al states that robbing convenience stores is wrong after Al’s own convenience store is robbed.

Danny, one of Al’s senior friends (whom he idolises), makes a habit out of robbing convenience stores. But Al defends Danny’s behaviour and claims it’s acceptable because…<insert bs reasoning>.

That’s called hypocrisy.

Now even the PhDless should be able to understand that simplified explanation.
