Watch your step!
I promise to watch my step. And, hell yeah, I'll crank up Led Zeppelin and blast it through the trees! I'm headed to Little Rock on Tuesday to secure the title of a house and tract in the middle of Arkansas. Soon, I'll be out there in the trees living a new kind of life. I hope Starlink Internet works. :?

Will Shulem disappear? Will anyone miss me?

Who can say.

Question: Did Joseph Smith's family own "magic parchments" which suggest their involvement in the "occult"?

There is no evidence that Joseph knew of, possessed, or used magical parchments

It is claimed that the Smith family owned "magic parchments," suggesting their involvement in the "occult." However, there is no evidence that Joseph knew of, possessed, or used magical parchments. All we know is that some parchments were eventually "heirlooms" of the Hyrum Smith family, but their provenance is not clear.
Oh how Mormons love to lie!

Hyrum Smith was the Patriarch of the Church and fellow treasure digging brother to the prophet. Of course the Smith family would inherit the sacred heirlooms!
I have a late comment for this. The last Church Patriarch was Eldred G. Smith (who gave my parents their PB). When I worked in Provo while going to BYU, I found out one of the ladies I worked with was a good friend of Eldred and his wife, and she had been to his home a number of times. Among the interesting things she told me about were that the Smith's had a smaller (several feet tall) replica of the Angel Moroni statue on the Salt Lake Temple. Evidently they gave the Apostles and the Patriarch one of these after the dedication of the Salt Lake Temple. So Eldred's Father or Grandfather would have gotten it. One night they were there late, and Eldred asked if they would like to see some special things that they normally didn't show. Of course the answer was 'Yes''; so they brought out Hyrum's Temple garments, PAPERS, his Book of Mormon, the box that supposedly held the gold plates, and most interestingly - a KNIFE with carved symbols. So we know for sure that the family had and retained sacred artifacts, including those of Hyrum, and INCLUDING the magic knife.

The Church is obligated to produce a documentary that thoroughly examines all the elements that show how the Smiths wielded a magic knife in order to advance their own cause. Church scholars must explore this from every level and perspective if they want to understand the truth and the real reasons the Smiths were interested in occult magic. But they remain aloof and bury their heads in the sand.

I would like to express gratitude for Dan Vogel's scholarship and passion in sharing information that helps everyone better understand how the Smith's were on a mission to take over religion and convert the world to their brand of Christianity.

I hope readers have found this thread informative.

Yes, the Church has an established pattern of hiding embarrassing stuff because it's an established practice and policy for the Church to hide embarrassing stuff from its members and the world at large. The Church is not interested in truths or facts that paint anything about the church in a less favorable light. The Church is all about looks, faithful appearances -- it's vain, puffed up, and full of itself.

But to me, Mormonism is like an ugly whore, chock-full of lies and deceit. I wouldn't touch that bitch with a ten foot pole.

I think some of his character designs were heavily influenced by the families Lamens.
Daggers inscribed with planetary sigils (seals or signets),
signs, and various names of God were used for creating magic circles. Quinn
has also established Sibly's the New and Complete Illustration of the Occult as
the source for one of the Smith family's magic parchments (small folded parchment
sheets, also known as lamens, used in ritual magic, on which are written
various magical names, phrases, and symbols).

Rivendale,

I appreciate the content of what you expressed in the above post last year in "Mormon at ages 11, 15, 24 is really Joseph Smith Jr., in disguise!", but it was somewhat of a derail so I did not comment.

I've taken the liberty to transport your post here in this thread where it belongs. Do you have anything else to add?

Thanks

But can you blame them? Most people do that. The term "CYA" doesn't exist for no reason. It's a human thing.
