Does it really make any practical difference? The point is that any legal resident growing up in this country who mistakenly believes (upon reaching the legal voting age) that they are citizens and eligible to vote should not be prosecuted or deported merely for voting, unless they try to do it again, after becoming aware of their actual non-citizen status. It would seem to me that legal, non-citizen residents could just as easily favor Republican candidates as Democrat candidates, so even if their votes are mistakenly accepted, the invalid Republican and Democrat votes would tend to cancel each other out in the long run, thus having little or no effect on the final outcome of the election.ajax18 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 7:26 pmHow does the public know that the person's vote won't count? So once that ballot has been cast either by mail and it's been separated from the envelope with which it's carried to the central count, so you can't tell who voted, if that's if that's been separated, the envelope from the ballot. And certainly by machine you can't tell. So no, there's no way there's no way to pull this back.

No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

My Dad was born in Canada. When he went to naturalize to American citizenship, it was discovered that his father, who thought he was a Canadian citizen, in fact was born in Wyoming. His parents had moved to Canada within a few days after his birth. He lived his whole life as a Canadian citizen -- voting, paying taxes, etc. As a result of this discovery, he had to naturalize to become a Canadian citizen.Gunnar wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 8:36 pmDoes it really make any practical difference? Ajax would have wanted him thrown in jail.

And I think you're right that Ajax would probably have wanted him thrown in jail.

How do you know? Are partisan observers from each political party even allowed to look at it?Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 7:50 pmSo, you’ve just been shown that she flat out lies in the interview, so you want us to look at some other thing she said in the interview?ajax18 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 7:26 pm

Are you claiming that you’ve accurately described how mail in ballots are actually handled?
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

When we use voting machines, are partisan observers allowed to come into the booth to watch us vote?

Of course they are! Do you really believe the nonsense that any counties or precincts would be foolish enough even try to get away with not allowing or even requiring observers and representatives from each political party be involved in work of counting the votes? How could that even be legal?

Wow! Is that what Ajax meant -- that partisan workers should be allowed to come into the booth to watch us vote? Of course that would be wrong! That is something we would expect only of absolute despotisms like North Korea!

Many polling places in Utah were unable to find a Democrat willing to be an election worker.Gunnar wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 9:59 pmOf course they are! Re: Illegal aliens get congressional approval to vote in 2024 elections
It not so much what he meant -- the problem is that he throws out random talking points without thinking through what they actually mean. Fraudulent voting happens in small amounts, regardless of the voting system chosen. In every system, the vote itself is separated from the identity of the voter and cannot be recovered. That's how the system works. Ajax lives in a paranoid fantasy where hordes of brown people here illegally somehow forget that they need to stay hidden from authorities and risk discovery and deportation by voting illegally.
