Ha! You're kidding me. How much do you imagine that I pay in taxes? What the hell do you think you know about me?ajax18 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 1:19 pmWhat are you talking about? LASIK isn't covered by socialized medicine in Canada. It's cash pay. It's an excellent business to be in.No, you don't. You want immigrants rounded up and deported. You want the protection of law and licensure for your profession to quell competition. My own lasik surgery was done by a physician under the Canadian Health Care system. You certainly don't want that kind of thing happening here.
Again what are you talking about? You don't pay for my gaggle of kids. I don't consider two a gaggle. My kids have never been on medicaid. And I'm having them pulled out of public school to avoid leftist indoctrination. Even if they were in public school, you don't pay as much in taxes as I do. You likely never have. And how is paying for kids to become productive workers equivalent to paying for a welfare nonworker to roll blunts on his roof all day? Even if public education is as impractical as I would argue it is, that's still a stretch to say it's that bad.Of course you're on the hook for that. You're on the hook the same way I'm on the hook to help provide schooling for your gaggle of kids; the same way I help pay for your religious practices by subsidizing them through tax breaks; the same way that I support the state as it says that you're one of the few who can give an eye test and write a prescription for eyeglasses.

Then I pay for the education for your two kids. I subsidize your home loan tax exemption. I contribute to your religion's tax exemptions. I help pay for your professional licensing and the enforcement involved. You never served in the military, but I subsidized that through taxes and my own service. I am indeed on the hook for all of your entitlements.ajax18 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 1:19 pmAgain what are you talking about? You don't pay for my gaggle of kids. I don't consider two a gaggle. If you're for public education, you're not really a hardcore free market conservative are you? But good for you. I'm glad to read it.

And I'm on disability, sitting on the roof, smoking blunts?
We disagree on the definition of illegal immigrants. The point stands that you do not want me seeking services through some unlicensed vendor. You're fibbing when you say that you think it's okay.
You have no idea what I give a rip about. Please show me where I've said any of that.ajax18 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 1:24 pmThe more subtle lie is the idea that you give a rip about 3rd world migrants. You want to get them into the country and voting as quickly as possible so that you can destroy the rest of the country the way you've destroyed California with their Democrat super majority. Once we've made the country California, then where will people flee for economic opportunity and the right to keep their wages?
If you had read closely on the various threads on this board, you'd know about my acitvities around immigrants from developing countries is substantial. It has nothing to with how they'll vote.

More important questions, could you smell your own eyeballs burning? That would gross me out.

It smelled like burning hair. But that was 25 years ago. I understand that it’s not so much that way now.

Gross lol. We are going to order myopic management glasses for Oli today. Normally his glasses are free but because his eyesight is deteriorating every time he is tested which is every 6 months, he needs them. His prescription is -4 and -3.5. dreading the price mainly because if he loses them or breaks the lenses we would have to pay that plus the frames (I think) again. But at the same time, if his eyes stop deteriorating so fast and he doesn't end up with other risks, it will be worth it. It's funny how the eyes grown backwards to try to fix vision. Makes me wonder if glasses can actually make it worse.

There is concern about the betting scandal in the UK. A conviction on such a scandal would only bolster conservative support in the US.

It's not the US voting though lol. I find it suspicious that they would release this information and make a big deal about it, the government should be very capable of shutting down news or underplaying things. It's almost like they want to lose.

Round up those people not working for Rupert Murdock and Lord Farquaad and put them in the Nick.
