Thanks for reporting that. This deserves much wider public discussion and notice by the media than it seems to be getting. I don't think Biden is perfect, and there are several leaders I would rather see become the next President than Joe Biden, but I can't think of any who would be worse than Trump. Whether Republicans like it or not, Biden has undeniably already done far better for our economy and Americans in general than Trump did or will. About the only people who benefited significantly from Trump's administration were the ultra-wealthy and powerful who already had much more than they deserve.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 7:19 pmYour may have to hunt to find it in the press, but Biden was given a full neurological examination just a few months ago. You can find results on the White House’s web page.
Trump published a report by his doctor once, the contents of which were dictated by Trump. One doctor's comment was that Trump may be the first President to live to 200. Trump also matters on incessantly about a simple screening test he was given years ago. Remember, man, woman, person, cameras, etc.?
Where is Trump’s neurological exam?

Joe Biden can beat Trump in states with mail-in ballots and other states too.Gunnar wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 12:01 amThanks for reporting that. Do you recall if it was in the Stephanopoulos interview or that telephone interview he did? Now I have got myself on the hook for a link.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 11:35 pmI saw the clip in which he said he had been tested. I did not know what to make of his statement at the time, but he has been tested, and the results were made public on the White House’s website. I blame the media and the Democratic Party’s more liberal elements. Each, for their own reasons, stands to benefit from trashing Biden and trying to drive him out.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:38 pmThis is going to take an effort I don't have time for at the moment. The full video is 28 minutes long. I did find in the beginning where he describes how he's monitored by doctors. I'll get back if I find the statement I thought I heard.
Probably I need cognitive testing!

I tend to question that premise somewhat. Surely liberals would like to see more from Biden than he is offering, but I question whether the mainstream media's inadequate support of Biden has much to do with him not being liberal or progressive enough for them. The mainstream media and even the majority of prominent Democrat politicians are also very much owned by and/or beholden to extremely wealthy corporate entities and donors. Thus, even Biden is more progressive or liberal than they are comfortable with. I strongly suspect that this has more to do with their somewhat less than enthusiastic support for Biden than concerns about him being insufficiently progressive or mentally fit for office.

Well it's not on the Stephanopoulos interview but here I have time stamped where he begins describing his monitoring and such.

He should definitely stay in the race. He gets a full neurological and cognitive test every day. (8:00) Seems legit AF.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 1:21 amWell it's not on the Stephanopoulos interview but here I have time stamped where he begins describing his monitoring and such.

Not funny! The clip I wanted wasn't in the Stephanopoulos interview. So I scrolled through my watch history and the interview he did with Andrea Lawful-Sanders isn't there. My watch history alone would meet criteria for a cognitive test!
It looks like the one he did with Andrea Lawful-Sanders has been pulled since she exited the station over pre-approved questions.
I can't win, ceebs.

No worries, Jersey Girl, winning is overrated.
More important than winning is that the game is played on an even playing field, on the up and up - same rules for all - fair referees - no outside interference. That way, long after those of us who are playing now are gone, there is still a field and a game for future players to play.

Hmmm. I am more or less in agreement with you, but I do think he is not liberal enough for many younger voters and that makes party leaders nervous when the margins are thin. I am surprised to read that you think Biden is too liberal for donors and party leaders. I have always seen Biden as pretty centrist, and the narrative pushed before the last election stressed his relative conservatism compared to the younger, more liberal candidates people wanted to take over the reins.Gunnar wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 12:48 amI tend to question that premise somewhat.
