But you're still going to enthusiastically vote for them. With all due respect, you remind me of the Jack Mormon who takes a long drag from his cigarette before lecturing everyone around him how important it is to obey the Word of Wisdom.
Enthusiastically? LOL!!! Uh, no.

First, since the early 2000s I have been an independent. I have not voted “enthusiastically” for anyone. Had I ever been enthusiastic, I might have joined a party.

If you were taking a group photo of your daughter (assuming you have one) and others, and some guy you didn't know from Adam came up behind her, put his hands on her shoulders, and sniffed her hair, then later secured the presidential nomination of your favorite political party, would you vote for that guy? I'm serious. . . would you vote for him?
When the other guy is a rapist, I'm thinking the hair sniffing is pretty tame.
So, yes? You would vote for the old man sniffing YOUR daughter’s hair because CNN, MSNBC or Moksha said another guy is rapey?

Holy crap. This shark is jumped or whatever Fonzi does.

I get both points in this back/forth. I would only be enthusiastic about a vote if it I were a member of the “process” party. Though, I always enjoy voting “No” on bonds to fund stadiums for billionaires. I love that.

Of course it is. But you didn't answer the question. Let's try again:

Independent or not, you'll still vote for the party that you just said you're disgusted with and "Eff 'em." So your actual vote isn't independent at all, whatever you choose to call yourself.

If I knew that the person he was running against had been found guilty in a civil trial of sexually molesting my other daughter--and if I thought that that this molester was also a grave threat to larger American democracy--yes, I might.

Or, If you were taking a group photo of your daughter (assuming you have one) and others, and some guy you didn't know from Adam came up behind her, put his hands on her shoulders, and then bragged to you about having group sex, and that it’s ok to call your daughter a piece of ass, and then later secured the presidential nomination of your favorite political party, would you vote for that guy? I'm serious. . . would you vote for him?

So, it would never occur to you to possibly consider voting for someone who had done neither to either of your daughters?

Absolutely not. No way in Hell.

I'm gobsmacked that this is even a controversy.

Well, I’m glad you won’t be voting for Trump then. But, half this country is, because they don’t care about handing the most powerful office in the land back to him.

Half this country (80 million people) "How many? Eight million illegal immigrants and counting? Eight freaking million complete strangers! Why are we allowing this? This is insanity!"

Doctor Cam "Don't worry about the small stuff bro, this other guy said something about something having to do with sex - and this sex stuff was with more than one person at the same time. Plus, he said it to brag! Plus, our democracy and stuff. Bro, our democracy!"

Absolutely. I spent a couple of decades voting third party and writing in protest candidates. I thought that if only everyone else would do the same, it would send a message to the powers that be. The message ultimately was not delivered, and it became a sort of nihilist process, so I gave it up.
