Are you somehow unable to vote for another candidate of your choice? I recall consistently seeing several other candidates on the ballot besides the Republican and Democratic ones.
Shades, you and I are not going to see eye to eye on this. My approach to voting is strategic, not just a reflection of what I believe. I don’t want to join the votes of hundreds for Vermin Supreme when he has no chance of winning.

Republicans lack a conscience and the ability for self-reflection. That is why they wholeheartedly support Trump.
Not helpful or true.

In other words, you can say how disgusted you are, and "Eff 'em," but you'll still enthusiastically vote for them. . . rendering your protests meaningless, and giving them free rein to take your vote for granted, since that's exactly what it is.

As I said elsewhere, you sound like a Jack Mormon who lectures others on how important it is to obey the Word of Wisdom while taking a long drag from his cigarette.

Let's take a look at something drumdude posted elsewhere:

They can hold their nose, they can vomit in the polling booth, they can make the sign of the cross if they want to. They’re still supporting Trump in the only way that matters: with their vote.
What do you think of those two sentences?

If you replaced the word "Trump" with the words "Biden's Replacement," does it change your opinion of what he said?

More importantly, doesn't it look a wee bit familiar?

Who is "Vermin Supreme?"

I agree; this is perfect symbolism for Trump support (especially the failing toddler part).
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

Schmo, I think you misinterpreted ceeboo’s post. He was not agreeing with Moksha. I can see how that may not be clear to Moksha.

It’s entirely possible to have a conscience and the ability for self-reflection, but also to decide that the character of one’s favored candidate doesn’t matter.

As Kish points out, it could be a strategic choice.

It could be both helpful and true. It might not be both or either.

A person generally can’t speak for the mindset or personality of strangers, so you have no edge on the truthfulness -or not- of this statement when applied to anyone other than yourself.

ETA: … and if you meet Moksha’s criteria, then you are unable to realize if his statement applies to yourself. : D
