kishkumen, I find your opening post confusing. Nancy Pelosei said what when? I mean if her actual comment about Trump being shot made as a response to the event was that he looked like a scared puppy then of course Trump would be offended and angry. I would find it offensive and I do not like Mr. Trump.

Pelosi’s comment was made last year in regard to a courtroom appearance by Trump at that time.

thankyou canpakes, I do feel relief about Nancy Pelosi . It is hard to imagine anyone so heartless as to say that about a person being shot. I do find myself still wondering when Trump came up with the over the top rant.canpakes wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 8:47 pmHi, Huck -huckelberry wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 8:43 pmkishkumen, I find your opening post confusing. Let's not forget offering to pay the legal bills of his supporters who would assault people protesting at his rallies.

Re: Remembering Trump on Political Violence
Indeed. The idea is that he encourages his followers to commit crimes on his behalf and he will then cover for them by pardoning those crimes. This is a clear subversion of the law and misuse of presidential powers.
"I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”
