If the Democrats try to replace Biden, it will be like Clinton taking the rust belt for granted in 2016. Political malpractice.

I think they should calm the “F” down and focus on better messaging for Biden and against Trump. Why are they drawing negative attention to their own guy? It's dumb as crap.
I hope you are right, Schmo. I hope it all turns out OK.

I don't believe that a Trump 47 outcome is inevitable. There's going to be an interesting dynamic generated between now and the election. I don't think that Trump gets much of a bump from either the attempted assassination or taking on Vance. Vance brings no value to the ticket for those who weren't already with Trump.
I know very little about Vance, other than what has been said very recently. In my opinion, the connection with Vance and Catholicism might be a much bigger deal than people might recognize. As you may know, the Papacy has not been receieved very well by a fairly large segment of the Christian voting populous. Will this end up being a factor? I don't know but it might.
Edit: I don't know that the transfer of campaign funds to another candidate is a problem--as I understand it, campaign finance law allows Biden to release his funds to another Democrat candidate.
Not sure: The donors that gave the money to reelect Biden might have a legit claim (legally) - if said money given to Biden doesn't end up going where their money was intended to go, and ends up going to someone else like Newsome, then.......? I'm not a campaign finance scholar or a lawyer, so I may be just blowing smoke.

Truth about Biden has been exposed to the world. You can't force millions of people to unsee what has been seen. The bell rang.

Messaging, no matter what it is, does not change the reality and the D leaders clearly understand this. There is no doubt that he will not be the nominee. He may not even finish the current term.

The truth about Trump has been out there for years, and people regularly ignore it. The entire GOP base has made a habit of ignoring the truth.

Unless it's your contention that democrat voters pay more attention, which I'd likely buy.

We'll see.

You can refuse to accept the obvious reality about Biden and try to divert your focus on Trump and the GOP base if you want, the only problem with that strategy is that it doesn't change the obvious reality about President Biden. I am confident that the great majority of Americans (R' D's and I') have surrendered to this reality at this point and, from the D's position, have already taken steps to resolve a difficult situation.

Unfortunately, I don't think you are understanding what I am saying. Oh well. Maybe someone not named Ceeboo can help you recognize reality. Perhaps a D can help?

I think they should be most concerned with Murphy's Law fatally biting America and electing Trump. We've witnessed Trump's defenders on this very forum. What would they have for us? Living a future ruled by falsehoods?

Yeah, I don't think you understand what you're saying, but I don't think there's anyone who can help.

When you actually post something based in reality, maybe I'll begin to think you know what reality is (here's a hint: it's not your baseless intuitions).

When facing a real problem (Biden in this case) you must accept that there is a problem first. It is required in order to begin to take steps to remedy said problem. If you just pretend that there is no problem, you are leaving reality, and considering what's at stake in Presidential elections, you are being irresponsible.

No worries though, leading D's have accepted reality (as they should) and they have already begun taking the necessary steps to replace Biden as the nominee. Something they absolutely should be doing. It is the responsible thing to do, and it is the right thing to do on behalf of the millions of American citizens that aren't interested in voting for Trump - It provides a viable option for them, and it provides relief to them.
