If Harris wins, I will accept her as our President and I will be hopeful (not confident) that she will be good for America, good for the world, and equally good for all of us who are fortunate enough to be Americans.
Will you be confident, (or if not that, hopeful) that if Trump is elected he will be good for America, good for the world, and equally good for all of us who are fortunate enough to be Americans?

Just checking.

Apparently, Smith has a witness who says that when Trump was informed that Pence was in danger and being hustled out by the Secret Service, Trump replied, "So what?"

Trump wanted Pence to suffer for his disloyalty at the hands of the mob Trump whipped up.

Nailed it right there. Also when you become too comfortable with people telling you what you want to hear that that becomes enough for you. Of course, all of that is calculated. And it works.
I have a question for the two of you.

What can be done for these 90,000,000 Americans that are stuck in this cult (a.k.a. Trump voters) that, as proposed, lack intellectual honesty and are comfortable with people telling them what they want to hear? How can these 90,000,000 Americans become enlightened so that they can become intellectually honest like the two of you? What can be done to cause these 90 million Americans to start being a little curious?

Given the enormous number of Americans that are intrenched in this cult, I think it's going to be an significant challenge to get them out. Perhaps we could lock them all up in a room at force them to watch The View and MSNBC for 72 hours straight. Do you think that might work?

If not, what would work, in your view?
Trump got 74M votes last go around, with Biden at 81M. Where do you get the 90M figure?

The same place he get's all his "facts." It's a deep well of dubious information called his lower colon.

Ceebs look carefully at the part I responded to in Schmo's post. Check that again and get back to me.

I was guessing that both parties will get higher numbers. What difference does 90 million vs 74 million make.

Yes. Obviously, that is why I will be voting Trump.

Given the four years I experienced while Trump was President (I think it's fairly reasonable to believe he will govern in a similar fashion) and the last four years I have experienced while Biden was President (I think it's fairly reasonable to believe that she will govern in a very similar fashion as it is being governed now), I can't imagine not voting for Trump.

YMMV.

Looking carefully.........

Your response included the below quote (you just didn't include the first five words of the sentence, before the comma)

"But if you're stuck in a cult, it's because you lack the intellectual honesty and curiosity to question it."

Yes. It is more obvious than ever before that Trump knew he had lost and then proceeded to attempt to remain in power by hook or crook. He should have been convicted in the Senate. He should be in jail. He should not be the GOP nominee. All of this reveals how bankrupt the Republican Party has become. It is a threat to the Constitution and democracy.
"I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”

What difference does 16M votes make? Uh, an election win?
