Me? No I don't. Heck I just found out earlier today that my sister moved back to Cape Coral from St. Pete. Her friend is someone I went to HS with. I didn't know they knew eachother! She's staying with the friend and says she thinks the house sits high enough. I've been to the friend's house. Listen...it's one of those 1 story Florida sort of ranch style houses. If the storm surge really turns out to come in at 10-15 ft...

It’s easy to say evacuate, but when you live in a state that is a several hundred mile peninsula, it isn’t easy, or always possible. I suppose if you were in a position to leave many days ahead of time it would be easier, not to mention the expense.

You need to carry your own gasoline if you want to make it out.

The evacuation orders don't require people to leave the state. They apply to areas where homes face destruction from storm surge and to mobile and manufactured homes. There is a network of shelters, along with free bus transportation to them.

Looks like a good portion of the state is being affected. Florida is absolutely full of manufactured housing.
