I wonder why you are held in such high esteem? The book of abraham was low fruit, buddy.
Come on, Exiled. Really? Veritas deserves commendations and thanks for his contributions to the debate on the Book of Abraham. Sure, be rude about politics, but this is too far.

Every few years or so someone will make a comment like this and I just laugh it off because I forget that was pretty much what I was known for in the early 2000's. At least for about a decade until I just got burned out on the subject. After the Book of Abraham gurus like Bokovoy, Shirts and Hauglid started to agree with me and then express doubts of their own, and Will Schryver was forced into self-exile, I just slowly backed away because there was very little left to say, and I got no joy out of destroying testimonies.

An interesting fact about me is that I still have hundreds of emails from the late 90's saved from complete strangers thanking me for reinforcing their testimony that the Church is true. And then about a year after FAIR published Mormonism 201, I started to be critical of my own position, started playing devils advocate, and then suddenly I was getting emails from fence straddlers and disaffected members who were thanking me for basically proving (for them at least) the Church isn't what it claims to be.

Veritas, I would hope you could take the time to appear on some of these podcasts and YouTube channels such as Mormonism Live, BYP, and Mormon Stories to share these stories. I would be honored to interview you for Coffee with Kish, too. Your work on this topic was very important, and you deserve a great deal of credit.

While I understand why populism exists, especially with Romney as the nation's number one outsourcer who is confused about why some people aren't paying federal taxes, the question is why would I believe any of the populists have viable solutions? The gate before that one is why should I believe the populists are even trying to fix anything, rather than just be grifters? Trump and RFK don't pass the first gate for me. if Kamala is so bad, why did RFK offer to sell out to her first before selling to Trump? Trump doesn't even pass the gate before that one, which is to be something other than a complete lying ass clown. I can understand supporting Bernie, he's not a grifter, and he's intelligent, and some of his policies maybe would should give a try but I don't see any magic fixes.

Part of Bernie's position on inflation is (unsurprisingly) "corporate greed" the same thing Kamala is saying and you were a Bernie supporter.

We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

Dehlin had asked me a few years ago and I agreed, but we never got around to setting up a time. I'd be happy to be on your podcast, I wasn't aware you had one.

Hey, America.

One of the candidates for the office of President wants you to invest your money in his cryptocurrency scam.

Please pay no attention to the fact that it seems to be as badly mismanaged as most of his other businesses scams and that you are contractually prohibited from reselling your holdings of his crypto product to anyone else … unless he allows it someday, if ever.

The other reason this venture is floundering may be that it is so clearly a way to scam people out of their money. The thing about Trump’s NFTs, or his golden sneakers, or even the shares in his meme-stock social-media company, is that there is a clear market of willing buyers. Maybe they want to show off how much they love Trump with their sneakers, or they think that, if he wins another term, an NFT of his likeness will skyrocket in value, and they can just sell it to someone else. This is not so with World Liberty Financial. It is written into the terms and conditions that buyers are barred from creating a secondary market for these tokens for at least a year, but probably forever. “You should assume that the Tokens are non-transferable indefinitely,” according to the company. In other words, once you buy it, you will probably never be able to sell it. The only reason to buy this is to use it as a way to vote on the direction of the company, the way shareholders vote on proxy measures every year or so for public companies. No wonder crypto-loving Trump supporters are steering clear.

All told, whatever amount Trump raises through his crypto platform will dwindle down even further, as some of the money will presumably be needed to keep the nascent company running. (And the money will barely make a dent in the election-spending wars, where deep-pocketed donors are doing Trump’s heavy lifting.) Perhaps, after Trump flooded the memorabilia market with shares of his company, sneakers, and NFTs, he’s found that the market for his sales gimmicks is tapped out.

There was a time when I pitied the victims of Trump's various scams.

Now I think they deserve it. If you haven't figured out that Trump is a conman by now, you aren't responsible enough (let alone smart enough) to build wealth.

No pity. Go ahead, MAGAtes! Waste your money on Trump's legal fees! A fool and his money are soon parted, so you might as buy golden sneakers and worthless NFTs.
