I'm sure these mission field venues are happy to be rid of it, the attendance in Texas for example has been absolutely abysmal.

No one (the faithful) wants to be faced with the troubling history or any history for that matter when they are transitioning to a pure faith based good feeling religion and how it helps today sans history. My brother who is a BYU professor, wants to focus on how religion can help with the here and now, and let's not focus on what silly things happened in the past. Poligamy? It’s worth noting that each of the 82 theatres has multiple screenings. So the average per screening will be lower than $370. How much is the average ticket price at Cinemark, $10?

I candidly admit that ticket sales for Six Days in August have been a little anemic. Not terrible, by any means, but also not fabulous. We’ve had overwhelmingly positive responses from those who’ve seen it — including some very important viewers whom I won’t name — but too few people have gone to see it. That’s disappointing. If, though, by any chance, you have watched it (and you liked it), please encourage others — friends, neighbors, family, ward members — to see it, as well. I don’t know how much longer it will run in theaters. If you have children or grandchildren away at school or living at a distance, consider buying tickets for them to attend. If I didn’t think Six Days in August worthwhile, I wouldn’t write this. I have nothing to gain, personally, whether you buy a ticket or you don’t. I won’t have made a dime from it. But I believe in the movie. That’s why I’ve devoted so much time and effort to it.

Those are definitely some anemic figures, Tom. It would seem that it was a terrible miscalculation to put the movie up in October, when it would have to compete with the likes of Terrifier 3. I think it is slightly possible that there will be one final uptick in ticket sales, but I imagine that theater owners are anxious to dump it overboard ASAP.
