The last eight years of Politifacts' Lies of the Year have been by Trump or his crony Vladimir Putin (recipient of Trump's missing documents?).

My eyes rolled when I read that Deseret News editorial. It is stunningly hypocritical.
They forgot to note that their editing regarding the LDS religion also includes cherry-picking, manipulation, elimination of relevant information, and making conclusions not based on reality, among other bad practices. The recent article discussed here about the SLC temple is a prime example of their "discrepancy in... quotes" that indicates their LDS topics might have "...more thorns in [them] than roses..."...Yes, all journalism — broadcast and print — involves editing, and there are standards governing this. When, for example, a Deseret News reporter takes a line or two out of a lengthy quotation, an ellipsis indicates that words have been omitted, or parentheses indicate that a word has been changed...

Especially bothersome is not letting this Nephite horse appear with the Grand Marshal in the Pioneer Day Parade for the last 80 years!!!

Time for the Deseret News to embrace the Nephite horse. They can learn to
endorse both Trump and the Nephite horse.

Maybe only those who grow roses (or a religion) know the work that needs to be done to make it/them look that way.
I think politics could also be added.

How silly. There is no video equivalent of an ellipsis.Marcus wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 9:08 amMy eyes rolled when I read that Deseret News editorial. Granted, you have to have read the cartoon once or twice, but this one works also:yellowstone123 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 5:33 pmPerhaps a picture of beautiful rose bushes in bloom with the Salt Lake Temple in the background.

So both? Wage growth has outpaced inflation IYO and food prices are due to anything but Bidenomics, the scamdemic and if it was it's still better than the European democratic socialist countries whose COVID economic policies mirrored California rather than Florida?Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 11:46 pmGiven that wages have increased faster than prices, most working folks have more buying power today. Are you saying money is tighter but not due to Bidenomcs or are you saying that you have more buying power after four years of Bidenomics?
If things have gotten worse, what would Kamala do different than Biden has done? Or are you just saying we need more of the same democratic socialism for longer before we can see the benefits of democrstic socialist policies?
The cover story of the Economist magazine this month was about how the US economy is stronger today than that of the other western democracies. The inflation spike was world wide, and we came through it better than other first-world countries.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
